  1. No referee ever wants to be put in that position, and I don't blame them. If there is even a smidgen of doubt, you stick with the call on the field and move forward.
  2. Yeah, it's hard when all you see is WTF
  3. He can still get it home if he's stepping into it, but you're not likely to see any 20yrd outs from him any more; even from the near hash.
  4. I hope this team designation stops soon because every single time I see it my brain goes what the ****
  5. Yeah, I'm thinking there's a few million of us in that boat
  6. Beat me to it.....
  7. They always wait as long as they can
  8. You might have some bigger issues than football that you want to address. 🙄
  9. Then why did McDermott get his TO back if htey lost the challenge? It was because the officials stopped the game for a review at the same moment McDermott called TO.
  10. My wife was probably about ready to punch me n the head by the 4th qrtr if I mumbled one more thaing about @*%$&* third down.
  11. They stopped at the same time McDermott called his TO; that's why they gave him the TO back.
  12. I couldn't agree less, Aug. The last thing this game needs is more stoppages and more officiating; especially for picayune procedural stuff that has no real effect on the game.
  13. I thought so too but there's a vid clip in this thread from Warcode and it shows Williams being solid.
  14. My bad I was thinking of the other sack. Thanks.
  15. Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride!
  16. I thought Williams was beat off the snap with a great shiver
  17. I saw the screengrab and it looked like it was taken underwater.
  18. It probably was and it's not a hill I'm going to die on because I didn't watch it that closely. But it was close enough that the call on the field was going to stand; no referee is unilaterally ending the game on that call.
  19. Yeah they did. That's why the Bills got the TO back
  20. Yeah, it usually is, but I don't think anybody had the balls to throw a marker at that point in the game.
  21. I didn't believe that there was any chance whatsoever that any ref is overturning that call right there, so I only watched the initial replay and then went in the kitchen for a minute while the rest of the replay was ongoing, so I'll take your word for it. That being said, his hand was close enough to his back that I would not have overturned that call to end the game.
  22. It was a crazy smart play form Poyer but he might have had his hand on his back for a split second before he got up. It was close enough that I would not have overturned it either, especially when it would have ended the game.
  23. He held the ball a lot today which I really don't have a big problem with because he makes so many plays doing it. But in that situation he has to get the ball out immediately, even if its just a checkdown for minimal game on 1st down to keep the clock moving.
  24. I think help up front should be the #1 priority this offseason, but I bet it isn't.
  25. Agreed. They played the Bills very smartly; better than anybody has in a long time.
