I couldn't disagree more. It's not a co-incidence that this seems to keep happening to the same team(s). At some point, being responsible for your own procedures becomes more important than being accommodated by other people. I say that your time and date are set in stone and you bring who you can bring. If you've got to put a 340lb DT at the X receiver, too bad you should have done a better job following protocol. If you've got a long snapper lining up at Corner, too bad, you should have done a better job following protocol. If you've got a LB taking snaps from a punter, too bad, you should have done a better job following protocol.

The only other info injury I saw about him was an ankle tweak that cost him a couple games back in his 2nd year. As for how the Panthers may have used him, I just don't get it. It simply doesn't reconcile with what we saw this year. He was absolutely dominant out there for nearly the entire season. Him and Dawkins both had a rough day on the same week (vs the Chargers I think?) but outside of that he was just stoning guys week after week after week. I'd be curious to see the Bills internal OLine grades cuz I don't think it would be difficult to make a case that he was the Bills best OLineman this season. When you've got a talent like Josh Allen who's going to be your franchise for the next decade, letting your best OLineman walk right now would be criminal, imo.

I think a lot of us saw a long run of professional competency coming. But nobody saw this coming.

He missed one season with the knee injury. That was the only time in the last 4 years he hasn't played a full 16 games. You want to protect that franchise QB, I think locking in Daryl Williams is priority #1 this offseason.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason I don't feel any compulsion to bring him back here. He's not ever going to have the natural chops to manage a game as a head coach, but I'd never be unhappy with him calling my offense. The folks ragging on him either don't understand those are two separate jobs or have even worse issues with short-term memory than I do.

I don't feel any strong impulse to bring him back but to his credit, he was outstanding here when he was thrust into the role of offensive coordinator. He was innovative, aggressive and somehow managed to put together what I think was a Top 10 scoring offense with Tyrod freaking Taylor as his QB. He won't end up back here, but wherever he does end up, somebody is going to be getting a very good offensive coach.

That's probably exactly what it was. The Bills are just trying to get out healthy at that point and probably didn't appreciate the Phish stopping the clock and creating extra meaningless snaps. I've got no problem with a shot across Flores' bow there.

I've always undervalued corners because it's soooo hard to make a legitimate impact on the game from the defensive boundary. But the years-long effort by the Powers That Be to turn this into the Arena Football League have really got me questioning that maxim. I thought our inarguable #1 need going into the offseason was to get some help up front for Ed Oliver but I'm now having second thoughts about that. With Josh Norman continuing to show he'll never mature beyond being an unreliable knucklehead, Taron Johnson inability to stick to anybody and Levi Wallace's ongoing efforts to become the most technically unsound corner to ever wear a Bills uniform, I'm wondering if we'd be better served to rebuild the platoon of CBs. Right now I don't trust anybody but Tre White and the young gamer from Pitt, and that is a tenuous position in a league where seemingly anybody can throw it all over the field without fear of reperconcussions.

I get that and it's a fair point. I actually am a big fan of physical corners who push the envelope on contact. But this guy does is at stupid times and stupid ways and is just as likely to take a DPI or Personal Foul as he is to make a play on the ball. I have been Levi Wallace's biggest detractor and I still hope Josh Norman is glued to the bench for the rest of the season.

Do none of you remember his first year in Washington, last game of the season when they needed to win in Week 17 to get in? Josh Norman took two selfish, idiotic dead-ball personal fouls that hurt his team badly in a game where they lost and were eliminated.
