Phat Pat actually didn't even get drafted; he was an UDFA. Kyle Williams was the guy who was a later round pick (5th rnd). They both ended up being two of my favorite Bills of all time.

Don't underestimate the impact of the call on White. That PI call came on 3rd down and without it the Bills are looking at a 47 yrd FG on a frozen field. The Dawkins call cost them about 15yrds but they still had two downs to recover from it and couldn't do it.

In real time I thought it was a penalty, but not on the 'backer. I thought they would call the DT coming late who dropped his head and tried to kill him about 24" off the turf. This was a tricky one. I think he threw the flag because White was initially beat and tried to recover by cutting off his route, which you are not supposed to do anymore. Keon certainly tossed him in an attempt to get his arms free so wasn't an innocent party either. If I'm stripes right there, I don't bother getting a flag out.

He may not be able to beat Watson over the top, but he can absolutely beat him off the line. The guy still runs magnificent routes.

I agree that he wasn't as "dominant" but he deserves better than "good" for that season he had. He went up against a fully healthy TJ Watt at the peak of his career and made him look like a child; and that wasn't the only guy he completely shut down. Maybe he couldn't stone a guy with one punch or get into the second level like Brown has been, but his season was worth mentioning in response to the post.

I get the degree of difficulty thing, but when he was on teh field Williams was in full beast mode. I thought it was his best game as a Bill by an appreciable margin. One guys worst game ever vs another guys best game ever seemed like something worthy of note.

Yeah, I can't think of any other reason for him to suddenly look hesitant out there. They were mixing and matching a lot of looks on the fly and all the presnap calculating probably had him worried about mistakes enough that it sapped his juice.
