  1. Screwing the Raiders would be showing up and going through the motions all year to collect a paycheck. Walking away now was the best thing he could have done for them.
  2. So my wife realized she could get a teacher discount for SundayTicket without subscribing to YTTV and she went ahead and did it today. At dinner tonight I gently explained to her with no bias exactly how many games we would not be getting via ST and why, a situation she was not aware of. She is currently one very pissed off little lady. My son and his fiance were here for dinner also and didn't realize how bad it had gotten over the last couple years and were pretty annoyed by the whole situation as well. I'm the kind of dork that pays his taxes in full, rounds up at the register, willingly pays for music by the tune and gives money back to the cashier if he/she makes a mistake. I'm honest to a fault but I no longer have any qualms whatsoever about raising the Jolly Roger on Sundays. Aside: Does anybody have any suggestions re: the best way to get major networks (mostly cbs and Fox) through any of the features on a SmartTV? I'm not close enough to any cities to pick them up even with a modern boosted antenna.
  3. In a civil society, at what point are we longer obligated to treat the unethical ethically?
  4. It just comes naturally?

  6. The only reason Josh had to attempt that desperation throw (on which he missed the spot by 10+yards) was because he completely blew the read, both pre and post snap.
  7. OP, if you're going to start a new thread that could have fit just fine in the existing game week thread, you should really double check your numbers.
  8. This was shocking to me. That locker room is a goldmine of humor and slapstick competition that in itself could have created a dozen quality episodes. Instead they chose to try to create overdrawn melodrama in a place where there is too much genuine character for that crap to exist. The little I saw ended up being nothing more than a microcosm of the modern NFL; pushing fake manufactured drama instead of allowing organic entertainment to happen naturally.
  9. There are a wide variety of individuals (producers, session musicians, sound engineers, management, etc etc ad infinitum) that had all of these same problems with "Sting". Every single credible summation I have ever read from journalists, professional musicians and/or business insiders about that band paints Summers as a quiet, soft-spoken amiable guy, Copeland as a friendly, high-energy joyful puppy and Sting as an obnoxious, domineering, insulting, dismissive, self-centered ashhole.
  10. Actually Nadal has been cursed with a rare foot disorder called Mueller-Weiss Syndrome since he was a teenager. It's chronic, painful and incurable. It makes the career he managed to put together even that much more impressive, imo.
  11. What happens when he comes out of the tunnel and starts running the wrong way?
  12. The Ravens have been something like 12-4 in their openers under Harbaugh and the Bills crushed their dreams the last time they played a game. That crew is not going to be caught off guard.
  13. Could you imagine if we were able to combine their powers? 🤯
  14. Aside from that one outlier game vs teh Chiefs, his playoff averages are as follows: 4 Targets per game 2.3 catches per game 45 yards per game 0.3 TDs per game
  15. I think it was more of a case of Copeland and Summers hating Sting because he's an arrogant, self-important, pretentious jackass.
  16. We've got enough guys that can run effectively in the slot that I wouldn't be opposed to this up until about New Year's. After that I want that bad mf on the field every Sunday til he's sucking wind.
  17. That dude has no fear and knows he has unreal contact balance. The only way to protect him would probably be to chain him to the bench.
  18. Then don't open it if you don't want to read it 🙄
  19. I don't have any strong feeling about them either way; I just think Jones is an idiot. I'm as sharp as a bag of wet mice.
  20. Not sure about that. Jerry Jones could ***** up a free lunch.
  21. I don't remember any questions or concerns during the lead up to the game, but there was absolutely something wrong with him that day. I just remember posting something in the game thread as early as 2-3 minutes into the game (it was that obvious that quickly even to some schlub sitting on his couch 500 miles away) saying something was wrong with him and wondering if he had the flu or some such. Here it is as early as Page 3:
  22. That's just your mortality whispering in your ear. Don't worry, when you're a little older you'll be too deaf to hear it.
