But I'm not going to be the one running around the board by the end of September screeching about how Joe Brady has to be fired because the Bills offense suddenly is no longer sprinting up and down the field unopposed. And there are people in these threads who are setting themselves up for exactly that.

This is the crux to me, right here. If Josh Allen tries to be anything but himself, it simply will not work. Every guy in that locker room will see right through it because you can't hide what you are from your teammates. Trying to be something you're not will have the exact opposite effect you're trying to accomplish. If his leadership style evolves because he is evolving as a person, then great; he's a good man and it will undoubtedly be a positive change. But if at any point in the past present or future, anybody tries to convince him to affect some kind of faux professional leadership style, it's going to blow up in their faces. I get the sense Allen is smart enough to recognize that and isn't going to make the mistake of trying to pretend he's something he isn't.

Just look forward to the combat; if it was all easy, it'd be boring. 🤙

C'mon man. When the games start you know it isn't going to look like this. Dalton Kincaid isn't going to have just one safety 10 yrds off the ball to beat. Samuel isn't going to be running all over the place every down and foregoing extra protection for the QB Shakir isn't going to spend 75% of his day getting free releases from teammates. Allen isn't going to be standing back there in a red jersey paying zero attention to a pass rush that isn't running games. This offense isn't going to be playing against a defensive unit that is working on a variety of sets because they're just out there practicing. I've gotten into the habit at camp of making various tall rum drinks during the day, biting the top off a couple of these and then sticking them in my mug upside down and letting them gradually melt into it. 🤙

A B C We have a few camps on the shore of a secluded stretch of the Allegheny where we shoot every year. I don't think I'd have the stones to cut loose in a neighborhood with no margin for error.
