I think the answer is in your question. That wrist injury was probably worse then they were letting on and because of it he just couldn't rack up enough live reps to get acclimated to the way Josh plays.

He might be fine for a team in transition like the Giants who aren't ready to win right now. But any team that has playoff aspirations would be wise to stay away from Russell; he single-handedly wrecked the Steelers over the last month of the season.

I'm not 100% sure, but for some reason I think he has to play 6 games for the year to count toward FA. And if the Bills are planning to hold firm on their offer and let Cook walk next year if it's not enough for him, I think they're likely to draft a RB regardless of whether they anticipate a holdout or not.

I like what I've seen also; the hitting is nice icing but not the cake, imo. The limited film I've seen from both college and the NFL suggests that this kid is a genuinely smart player; to me, that's the cake. I think he has a genuine shot at stealing a starting role here. I think he got better with that toward the end of his first season here. I don't know if it was Hyde working with him but it seemed like a light sort of finally went on and he started doing a better job of keeping his head up and his eyes open. It's a huge difference maker when you can actually see your target. There have been a lot fewer instances of blue on blue since then.

Probably a combination of two things. A new coaching staff who brought their own safety that took Forrest's spot. And he tweaked a hamstring in camp and was inactive the first four weeks so probably never had a real chance to compete for his position.

He became the established starter midway into his 2nd season and played 100% of their defensive snaps for nearly a year until he broke his shoulder late in a game in the middle of his 3rd season. When he did become a starter in that 2nd season they immediately removed him from ST's and he only played a total of 6 ST snaps throughout that next calendar year. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/ForrDa00/gamelog/2022/ https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/ForrDa00/gamelog/2023/

Thank you for this. Now when a Polish guy gets pissed off, he'll come after you, not me!

Promo says West Seneca. He's a pain in the ass, but usually tells the truth.

Are we pretending that's not a sex chair? I would look very closely at the ingredients first...

Well now we know why Myles Garret wanted to stick around.

This is terrible but I cannot stop reading this kid's name as Shaun Polack.
-
I get the sense he can run at either one; his college tape shows him playing a variety of roles. But with Rapp and Bishop looking more comfortable the closer to the LOS of scrimmage they are, the Bills might view Forrest as a guy they want to slip into the Free.

That hurts, man. There's no empty bromides that can make that OK. Life is a weird, unpredictable thing. Maybe keeping you engaged will end up being good for you in the long term, even though you're hating the hell out of it right now. 🤷♂️

There were about a half dozen times through the second half of the season that I wanted to start a thread about the possibility of extending him, but I'm still having a hard time overcoming my own biases. If the Bills are comfortable with how they can work him into the cap without excessively limiting their ability in other areas, I think they should go for it. One thing that possibly gives them pause is I think he probably has some gangsta in him, which might make them hesitant to make that kind of commitment. I also think the same thing of Benford. If they don't do it, they are essentially creating a hole that is going to have to be filled with another 2nd rnd pick. I like Ray Davis, but he is never going to be James Cook.

That sucks. But never forget brother, it's just money.

Agree with all of this, although I'm still not entirely convinced he has that long speed. What he does have is truly elite burst around the LOS. Adding the physicality that makes him no longer an easy arm tackle has made him that much more dangerous as well. I rarely approve of drafting a RB before the 3rd rnd and I cannot remember the last time I even considered giving a Bills RB a significant contract, but about halfway through last season, Cook had me seriously reconsidering that long time stance.

I don't know how this is going to work out, but I will say this after watching whatever clips I could find: This dude is a very, very smart ballplayer.

They couldn't be reached for comment because Mike Williams ate both of them.

[This is an automated response] If you're going to make absurd threads with no basis in reality, at least title them accurately enough so that people can avoid opening them. Thank you.
