you already know the answer to this. Clearly right now they’re comfortable with what they have at CB else they would have hosted at least one of the guys you named. Some of whom are completely washed btw.

Slayton doesn’t appear to be any sort of upgrade here. He’s had one mediocre season and two forgettable ones.

Burrow plays his arrogance pretty well though (so far. I think the cigar stuff is fun personally.) whispers/rumors over the recent past suggest just that - they love both young guys (especially Hamlin) as eventual starting safeties and benford projects as a longer term convert to safety.

if the rumors are to be believed, the other owners/GMs around the league are disgusted with the contract the Browns gave him. For good reason.

they did not really need to meet a high evidentiary standard. The league’s stance is “conduct detrimental to the league” can be punished. Watson’s conduct was confirmed by Robinson. They met the standard. Only question is the magnitude of harm to the league and, subsequent to that, the magnitude of punishment. the guy is losing $345K. That’s a joke.

Based on just the amount of initial backlash to this, at this point the league almost has to appeal.

Yeah you lose me talking about strength of schedule. SoS doesn’t track year to year to any consistency. I know he’s saying retroactively we had the easiest schedule but that still means next to nothing and it certainly isn’t predictive of what’s going to happen this year. his mustache does look ridiculous. Looks like nate geary (not a compliment.)

Agreed with all this but I do think Edmunds might get extended soon (not my preference, just reading the tea leaves.)
