  1. When you say “no one in the media knew about it” I’m assuming you mean NFL media? Because I agree with you there. But the LA Times (also media) have been looking into this for several months at least.
  2. yeah after watching she’s basically arguing for some sort of parity by way of league investigation into, everyone that might be drafted, i guess? I see where she’s coming from but that’s not feasible at all.
  3. no one calls him Po and in no way would the team have to extend him right now to “ fix the culture.” The OP is, well, “uninformed.” That’s the most polite way to put it. But this is the type of knee-jerk BS we see around here
  4. and even Rosenhaus has sort of mellowed over the years. I sure he’s still a tough advocate for all his players, but he doesn’t really do any of those media stunts he used to.
  5. feel free to start a topic on anything you like. This has only been pinned for a day.
  6. The opinion from the attorney you linked to here is spot on - at this point the chance of criminal charges seems slim.
  7. No one’s questioning his mission, just his methods.
  8. gotta admire the persistence
  9. the concept of at-will employment is also a thing and seems pretty prevalent in this country. It certainly isn’t a moral failing by the team to simply not want to deal with the headache of this.
  10. forgot his lawyer made that claim thanks. Question still remains if the league passed the notification on to individual teams though. That’s less clear. Other statements suggest the Bills found out about this around 6 weeks ago, well after the draft.
  11. NY law does not matter in the slightest. Age of consent in CA is 18.
  12. Insulting the cops publicly seems unwise.
  13. certainly what he wants you to infer. His client is no longer at school and on the Bills. One other guy is still at school and apparently on the football team. The other is no longer on the team or enrolled at the college.
  14. not a defense of Araiza, just saying the allegations, by number, severity, and/or timing, aren’t really comparable.
  15. apples and oranges. 1 allegation vs. 20+ (that we know of.)
  16. well, not everybody. But yes! We are better than twitter (for now.)
  17. Too drunk = no consent
  18. hey don’t get me wrong I want to agree with you too about Terry and Kim especially. And they could turn around tomorrow and cut the guy. I just don’t know for certain what they learned on their own before today, what surprised them, or to what extent they know something that contradicts the allegations in the plaintiff’s complaint. McD must be blowing his stack over this though.
  19. After a quick scan, it’s Gilleon, the plaintiff’s lawyer
  20. All I am saying is I think you’re giving them a bit too much credit, insofar as we do not know the quality or thoroughness of their own investigation. That’s why I brought up the Browns. I think (or want to think) the Pegulas have a better moral compass than someone like Jimmy Haslem. But again, I don’t know, and I suspect you don’t either.
  21. yeah it seems like the plaintiff’s attorney contacted them around July 30 but Araiza’s had already alerted them earlier.
  22. depends. Are they clients?
  23. thank you. Of course it’s completely common. There were a bunch of Halloween parties the night in question. Campus police aren’t spread in and around the college IDing people on the streets.
