  1. This one made national, non-sports news though. That is unusual.
  2. It actually was cathartic for me. It puts it in perspective and you realize how there really aren't heartbreakers like this very often. Probably the last one we'll have to live through for a while. No, I'm 32. You must not have read the first sentence of the post. Also, lighten up.
  3. I'm only 32, and my Bills memories actually start in 1994 when we pasted the Dolphins in an ESPN Sunday Night Football game. Since that time, here are my top 15 most-heartbreaking Bills moments. What am I missing? I recall all of these so vividly. 1996 Jaguars (playoffs, Kelly injured) 1998 @ Patriots ("Just give it to 'em") 1998 @ Dolphins (playoffs, Moulds fumble) 1999 @ Titans ("Music City Miracle") 2004 Steelers (miss playoffs, lose to backups and third stringers) 2007 Cowboys (MNF "classic") 2007 Patriots (flexed to SNF at home, lose 56-10) 2008 Browns (MNF Lindell missed field goal) 2009 @ Patriots (McKelvin fumble) 2010 Steelers (Stevie Johnson OT drop) 2013 Patriots (23-21 season opener) 2015 Jaguars (London) 2016 Dolphins (OT, no playoffs, Rex fired) 2019 @ Texans (playoffs) 2020 @ Cardinals
  4. No, the Fins don't have to beat us. They will likely have a superior record straight up. Everyone gets so hung up on tiebreakers, but it rarely comes down to that.
  5. I said all week I got a weird feeling about this game and that it reminded me of the playoff game. It turned out being a true mind fu*k. What do these two games have in common? DeAndre Hopkins (for some reason), and the only two times McDermott's Bills have lost after leading at halftime. Also, the games played out so similarly. The Cardinals were also 0-55-1 when trailing by 14+... Give me a break... And have you looked at the Dolphins' schedule? They're tied with the Bills in the loss column, and their schedule is *way* easier than the Bills' going forward. You'd have to favor Miami to win the division.
  6. The Bills are in trouble. It seems clear we are being outcoached on both sides of the ball. We are going to need a big break in order to get out of this game. This is a game where if it goes on indefinitely, we end up losing handily.
  7. Get out of this game healthy and we are looking at a VERY clean injury report in 2 weeks. Come on, football gods... Healthy and 8-2, healthy and 8-2...
  8. Lol, all four of the questionable good Cardinals are active. Gamesmanship
  9. The loss of Kroger is going to sting.
  10. Last week's game was a perfect example of this. I think the only game I feel truly underdog in is vs. Chiefs.
  11. Given the brevity of Jim's career and the lack of a championship, this seems quite likely. He will have to overcome the romanticization/overrating of Jim that has occurred over time though.
  12. He's not fast. We need to upgrade the "small, fast, shifty" WR position.
  13. Great news in Maryland. Been waiting for this all week.
  14. Allen threw for more yards on Sunday than Kelly ever did
  15. I think he was talking about Morse. That was so weird
  16. Hot takes on a very interesting early window of NFL games: *I so strongly dislike the Steelers, but I hate Lamar Jackson even more. Go Steelers. *Joe Burrow is great, but the Titans clearly overlooked the Bengals. *Everyone's going to be excited about the Dolphins, but they're fool's gold. They scored 21 fake points. First downs: Rams 31, Dolphins 8. Yards: Rams 471, Dolphins 145. This was a classic "Any given Sunday" game. Good for the Dolphins, but.
  17. Have we EVER stopped a 2-point conversion under McD? EVER?
  18. The Patriots have "no WRs" and literally only one TE active. Cam Newton sucks, and the weather is terrible. The Bills need to stack the box like no one's ever stacked a box. And on offense, forget the weather. Don't let it be an equalizer when the opponent is overmatched. Come out four wide just like always and go after them. This is why you drafted Josh Allen, for weather like this.
  19. I'm tempted to think Belichick has thrown in the towel on the season and is smartly low-key tanking. Something about his tone in recent conferences and his lack of grouch that would normally be there. Then you throw in the Edelman IR, Gilmore trade, etc. We'll know the answer tomorrow, I think. Usually teams play 3 games in 15 days so it's not that big of a difference.
  20. Exactly why questions about McDermott need to be asked if we lose this game. We do have the strongest-armed QB in the NFL, so it seems like if any team should be able to deal with wind, it's us.
  21. Everyone seems to think absurd the idea that McDermott will be in hot water if he loses this game. I don't get it. When you've yet to beat the Patriots during your tenure, you can almost secure the division with a win, and you're hosting them at 5-2/2-4, how is there not a referendum on McDermott if he can't lead the Bills to a win here? He absolutely has to.
  22. McDermott instantly sits on the hot seat if the Bills don't win this game. There is no excuse, none.
