Offense cannot function without John Brown. They had 2 weeks to prepare for this. -
Week 12 Bills vs. Chargers PreGame Thread

Why the hell is Tyler Kroft inactive? What the hell is going on? -
Hail Murray hurts anew this hour. We might have needed that win.

Bills NEED to find a way to win against the Chargers and 49ers without Brown. I think Brown was super-key for hopes of an upset against Pittsburgh, so that's probably not happening now. Need to find a way to 9-4 before getting Brown back. From "day to day" to IR. So mind-numbingly frustrating coming out of the bye when you're hoping to be at full strength.

Everyone talks about Stefon Diggs, but John Brown is the player who frees up Diggs to perform. Without Brown, our offense struggles because we lose the favorable matchups. Losing Brown to injured reserve really throws this Buffalo season into questionable territory going forward. You saw what happened against the Titans and Chiefs without Brown. Will be interesting to see if the Bills can find a way to score points. Two key starters to IR this week coming out of the bye. Not what the Bills were expecting!

Week 12: Chargers at Bills

Rarely does anything come down to tiebreakers. The fan emphasis on conference/out-of-conference games is puzzling to me. -
ESPN puts another long time Host on waivers

It is by far the worst MNF crew ever. I'll probably watch the 49ers and Patriots games on mute. -

They just did. It's 3 weeks and 1 day between the Cardinals game and 49ers game. For the love of God, training staff, don't bring him back until he can be himself and not hobble after every tackle. -

He has looked slightly overweight this year. Oh well. He has also been slower running. -

Would love to see PIT lose to BAL, BUF, and IND or CLE. We win out (very realistic if we beat PIT) and get #2 seed and two home games. If not for Hail Murray, I think we'd be talking about this in earnest. -

Could Darnold end up backing up Allen in Buffalo?
Giuseppe Tognarelli replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure why you're getting so many negative reactions to this. Obviously the Jets will select a QB #1 overall, which obviously means that Darnold will be on his way out, likely to be a backup somewhere else. Is it too far-fetched that it might be Buffalo? I don't want Trubisky's toxic babyface anywhere near my sideline. -
Heart beating like a Bills game late in that one.

I didn't put words in his mouth. Everything except for the last sentence in the OP was was straight from McDermott's mouth. Here, you're cherry picking the things that fit your narrative. This is literally all fact: Per McD, Morse was healthy and ready to go but his not playing was a "football decision," not a health issue. When asked, McD did not commit to Morse as the starter going forward. Said they felt the current group had "momentum" and that's why Morse didn't play. Regurgitating previous points here... obviously this would not happen if we were talking about Diggs, White, Allen, etc. (other premier players on the team). The fact that McDermott was asked about Morse 3x and given three opportunities to clarify and blame it on the concussion and didn't tells you everything you need to know. The reporters thought it was news. I think it's news. If you don't think it's news, you're in denial. When anyone is underperforming on this team, McDermott still says they're a good player. He always softens the blow. He'd never say someone was "benched." He wouldn't say we'll evaluate the lineup week to week when referring to Diggs or White, and he wouldn't give their replacements another week if they were healthy... That's enough for me on this one. I have a labor-intensive dinner to prepare.

I don't believe your take is valid. I believe my take is the only reasonable conclusion to draw from the press conference. The fact that a) Mitch is healthy and b) he didn't start because he might not be a part of the best combination of line players is inarguably concerning if you think Morse is a key player on this team. Clearly the reporters "on the scene" agreed that it was a news-making situation. McDermott doesn't like the term "benched" and would probably say "No" if asked if Harrison Phillips was benched, if we're being honest.
