  1. I do the West to East coast flight for a week every couple months. Been doing it for a couple years now. I can be dead ass tired and I won't sleep when I get to Eastern time. 1am at the earliest and even that's a stretch. I'm not 100% until 3-4 days into the trip. These aren't baseball players. It's not like they travel 80 times a year for most the year. They play 8-9 road games in a year. They aren't anymore adjusted for what to expect than I am. Then they have to play a game at what amounts to 10am. Except that's when the game starts, who knows what time they have to get up. Compare that to the home team. It certainly matters. The talent gap is just too small in the NFL. It would be interesting if this angle was even stronger earlier in the year. I could see logic to that as the traveling is new and they don't have any sense of rhythm yet.
  2. Zap his balls while this is happening. Not sure if it will do anything but it doesn't hurt.... Unless your his balls
  3. Front Page Sports Pro Football was a incredible game for the PC. Still the only game I recall having a play/formation designer. Graphics at the time were next level. NFL 2k5- Still has elements that we haven't seen nearly 20 years later. Sucks to have lost this franchise. NBA Jam- Ton of fun Mike Tyson Punch Out- See above
  4. Oh ya, we will be doing a few of those for sure. Any plans for PB this year?
  5. I just don't agree that the individual talent is strong. With what's left, I don't see a lot of guys starting for other teams. I see a massive rebuild if a new coach came in. I think we have the players on defense we wanted. Especially schematically, but that doesn't mean they're above average players. We have done a good job of drafting system guys. But we can obviously do this all night. It's a reasonable discussion. It's not like you're saying we played Mahomes well in the last playoff game...
  6. Ed Oliver is the best player in our front 7. Which is sort of laughable given the resources we have spent. Look at it another way. What if we bring in another 4-3 coach, how do we perform? Every piece we have is overfit for McD's defense. We switch coaches and we don't even have a top 20 defense with this roster. Why does it kind of work vs KC in regular season? Maybe they don't hit top gear until the playoffs. Which has been the case for many former championship teams. Nothing is going to fit why we regress so sharply perfectly across the board. But the concept being discussed here fits about as close as any I recall.
  7. Vs Mahomes in the playoffs. It sucks when actual data exists doesn't it.
  8. Between the primetime games, likelihood of a few national TV games, great Bills backers bar here it's just not worth it. I will stream 5-6 games as well and those feeds have been stellar.
  9. They have all slowed down KC better than we ever have. In addition none of them have another team that owns them like Burrow/Bengals does us.
  10. Most defenses don't post top 5 finishes year after year then get get completely torched when it matters. Our defense isn't a playoff defense. It's a regular season defense. See the Bengals, 49ers, Ravens, etc. All have shown much more capable when it matters.
  11. Good friend drafted Coleman first and I felt so good inside. I have Davis as well. Shakir is going to be a WR1 value.
  12. Not talking about our safeties. Talking about our defense. It makes sense how we can confuse the easily confused but when we face the better QB's our lack of talent is on full display.
  13. I don't disagree. But when is that a problem for Beane? We have been scheme over talent on defense for a long time.
  14. Also makes a degree of sense why we might struggle more vs the very best and totally dominant the average to below average.
  15. We have laid some eggs in recent years in week 1. So many unknowns, new weapons, growing pains. Vegas has us at -6 which is a full point down from the -7 opening line. If anybody thinks this is a cakewalk think again.
  16. McD would stomp on anybody who is not a trained fighter.
  17. https://www.opensecrets.org/elections-overview/biggest-donors Follow the money, got it.
  18. KC had 7 less yards on 31 less plays. Keep lying to yourself.
  19. This can’t be true. Beane would never overextend himself on a new deal.
  20. Thank you Mr JaCrispy for sharing your intimate knowledge of all the members of the establishment and the level of participation they have.
  21. And that play doesn’t happen if Buffalo doesn’t miraculously recover Allen’s fumble at the start of the drive. We stayed in the game with ball control. Which we could not execute for the full 60 minutes compared to them doing whatever the hell they wanted whenever they wanted. Not as close as it’s seemed is correct. But hey, context doesn’t matter to some. Different strokes.
  22. This is so off base. -Houston in 2019, we had a great first half before allowing 19 second half points. -Colts in 2020, did anything they wanted against us. 27 first downs and nearly 500 yards allowed -Ravens in 2020, it was a wind storm. Josh could barely do anything in it. Count this if you want -Patriots in 2021, Mac Jones -Dolphins in 2022, Skyler Thompson -Bengals in 2022, rolled over us without most the starting offensive line -Steelers in 2023, Mason Rudolph We played 3 games without facing a starting caliber NFL QB and sure, we did good in those games. Not great in most, good. We played 4 games facing a starting caliber QB and got crushed in two, crapped our pants in the 2nd half in one, and did great in a hurricane in the other We are the wild card champions of the NFL. That is all we proved. It has nothing to do with KC.
  23. I was certainly into Jordan’s as a kid, also had to have Bruce Smith shoe. I don’t like to think it matters all that much anymore but I’m sure it helps with brand recognition over the long term.
  24. The problem I had with AJ is just how developmental he actually was. It seemed like we knew right away that we didn't like his body. So he undergoes this massive conversion process and it takes him two years to start getting on the field and making an impact. Our reward for all this trouble would be a season or two on a rookie deal and that was the best case situation. AJ's progression would have been much more logical had he been a later pick. Having said this I hope AJ makes me totally eat these statements. I like him as a player and he had a stretch last year where it didn't look like we would even be able to sign him. It would have been such a bummer to have transformed him only to see him walk right when he developed.
