  1. In the Houston game we got the ball on the 50 yard line with a little over a minute down 3. We kicked a 47 yard field goal to go to OT. We then failed to score on our first OT drive. In the most recent KC game we were down 3 and we attempted a 44 yard field goal and missed. In 13 seconds we had multiple drives that should have ended the game. Are we front runners? Sure. We are built to defend the pass. It can be an avalanche when teams can no longer be balanced against us. We have no victories in the playoffs in which we were down more than a TD. Our defensive system + lack of diversity in it has performed very poorly against the better QB's in the playoffs. I guess my question would be we are currently 0-3 in winning close games late so why should we believe we can do so if it occurs again in the playoffs? That is with the assumption the defense can even put us in such a position which hasn't always been the case. Various reasons why we are 0-3 but the fact remains that is the record and nearly every element of our team has had some level of influence in why that is.
  2. I’m not talking about 13 seconds. He most certainly did anything a player could do in that game. I’m talking about the playoff game against KC. Any hall of fame QB in history will take the ball in that situation. So when you say he did all he could do, sorry but he needs to score on that drive. He had the chances. In addition to nearly not having a chance with the fumble. I don’t expect you to agree. That’s fine.
  3. I mean, I don’t put things on Josh. But at the end of the day we had the ball last against a team and player that is viewed as the best and we didn’t score a TD. We can go on all day about how others haven’t scored TD’s, others had FG kickers hit the FG, but we needed that drive. You expect the best in NFL history to get that drive. So I don’t think I’m going to say he can’t do any better. I would hope most on here would want and expect him to close that one out. If we say in future we have the ball last, down 3, vs the very best, most teams will say sure and will acknowledge they have to score or they just aren’t the team.
  4. Same concept. Kincaid cleared out. 359 mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6UzerC7LC8
  5. McDermott will be here long past the point in which no wants him here. It doesn't matter if he misses the playoffs next year. I hate everything I just said but it's how I see Terry managing this.
  6. Something tells me she has a vibrating Josh Allen bobblehead
  7. I actually like this one and have some hope it could happen. His year 1 was adjusting from a predominantly man system and joining the NFL. His year two he was largely banged up. If he can start the year healthy next season I see him as a guy that has the potential to really outplay his current spot on the depth chart.
  8. I'm talking about the things you can't tell your wife or your husband. The things that haunt you at night. Things like Dalton Kincaid is a below average receiver (I would never say such a thing, I love Kincaid). How about the team will really miss Gabe Davis? Now that would almost be blasphemy on this board. These are just examples people. I do not endorse either of these statements. I'm just giving examples of the depths I'm asking you to reach in this thread. I will start....... Von Miller will have a rebound year eclipsing 10 sacks in 2024
  9. So what happened in that Bengals game or the KC game the year before or the Colts game the year before? (we did win the Colts game but it was an NFL record first down and yards allowed in victory). This is the problem with your perspective. You apologists never came up with a valid reason for the past. Then you just moved onto the injury card this year. Which might be somewhat fitting but it does not describe what has occurred every year we went from a Top 5 defense to having teams run track on us. Do you believe McD is a better defensive mind than Spags?
  10. I mean how often have we watched this team look like a world beater one game and just completely lose it the next? That was the best version of a team who has taken us to the wood shed both times we played them. I don't think our shell defense gets the job done.
  11. Why do we somehow crush a Bengal team we have never beat after 13 seconds?
  12. If Josh grew up in Europe he would be great at Rugby.
  13. If the Bengals had 3 out of 5 starting lineman out we would have got the job done in 2022! Oh wait....
  14. Tell me - what happened to his final throw in regulation time yesterday? Mahomes threw a quick fade to the corner of the end zone. On 2nd down he had 6 seconds left and they decided to kick vs risk another throw. He took KC the length of the field and set up a chip shot under 30 yards. Tell me - what was so superb about him yesterday that mean the only TD he managed in regulation time was assisted by a punted ball hitting a Niners heel? He had the game tying and game winning back to back drives in the Super Bowl. He ran out of time on the final drive. Settled for a FG inside 30 yard line. Then followed it up with a TD in OT for the win. The Bills stalled out on 4th down with plenty of time remaining and set up a 44 yard FG. How is this same? How many game winners does Allen have in the playoffs? Before you get tempted to reference 13 seconds, make sure you check out the 2018 AFC championship game Mahomes played in. Nobody ever talks about that game because it's not his defining moment. It's become secondary to his 3 Super Bowls all won after being down 10 points (again something we have never done). Josh is Manning. Mahomes is Brady. Nobody ever said Manning was bad and most agreed he was way more talented than Brady ever was, still, nobody besides Colts fans ever said he was as good as Brady. Our fan base can keep talking about, imagine if Mahomes was on Buffalo, imagine if Josh had Reid, imagine if we had an offensive line. Nobody cares. People care about what actually happens. If it was a game about imagining Dan Marino would be the greatest QB of all time.
  15. Beane and company have expressed with acquisitions or contracts that they do in fact value the kicker role. Hauschka was not cheap either if my memory serves me right. Now getting the performance on that investment is different.
  16. Between McD locking down the AFC east and Vegas always putting us in the running for AFC Champions I don't need anymore as a fan. Packers
  17. Chiefs don't even register yet compared to the Pats
  18. Hey now, they did set an NFL record for yards allowed in victory. That should count for something.
  19. You mean the clock ran out so he had to settle for a FG. Then he went on for the TD? You like to play the hypothetical game. Do you not believe the Chiefs score a TD if they have 30 seconds more? If you can jog my memory did the Bills also run out of time?
  20. I don't see much evidence that Mahomes is setting his team up for a field goal in that spot.
  21. Spags Vs Mcd Reid Vs Brady
