You are correct, these issues are rarely black and white.

Here I go, when is it that folk will grasp the fact our run blocking was miserable on a good day? The entire run game was an afterthought all season long. Not one of our offensive coaches cared a whole hell of a lot about the run game because we were scoring points passing right and left, it wasn’t until our primary receivers were all injured at the same time that the woeful run game showed up on the coaches radar. This isn’t rocket science, yes both Moss and Singletary are okay RBs neither were very good this past season, both would be substantially better if our O line could run block with any actual consistency. There in lies the crux of the biscuit, in the famous words of Frank Zappa... just sayin, Go Bills!!!

That is true, it is also true he was a force during the 19/20 seasons run game, as well didn’t allow a sack that season. We miss that performance level on the O line, he and Ford when healthy made a difference, as compared to the 20/21 season. Beane needs to find a guy to replicate that for next year, just my thoughts.

I hear ya on those thoughts and do not disagree. I mused in another thread that the running game got short shrift, in that Daboll gave it little attention. I do suspect that the refrigerator sized guard (Spain) was missed to some degree, that, on top of Fords injury didn’t help the run game issues.

Not so much the root cause but certainly part of the difference, both he and Ford have a bit of a mean streak and as a combination it is missed in our current run game, jmo.

2019s run blocking was better by far, the difference on the O line was and is no Spain, and an injured and then IRd Ford, with them gone/out the run game on offense has been woeful, and has been equally less good on the D side with Star’s absence, as well as Shaq and Jordan being gone, your point is spot on, some fans here don’t see the obvious that is starring at them.

You are correct, I agree completely with your last paragraph, it is spot on. I truly hope that is what Coach means when he says we need to run the ball better, I hope he concentrates on effective blocking schemes so we can actually run the ball, vs upping the volume of run plays, which would not be the way to go.

While I fully agree with your sarcasm, better use of currently available personnel / acquiring more impactful players in two or three other positions would certainly help, not just with competing against KC, but more handily beating the others team we play. Jmo. Go Bills!!!

For me the season ended already, maybe if we are lucky both QB will go out with some sort of severe groin pull that’s so bad that they limp for the rest of their lives, a guy can hope right?

Like it or not The game plan was not particularly good as we all saw, and there where not what one would call appropriate adjustments made at crucial points during the game. It is in all our hopes that this was the last time that the coaches coach in this fashion ever again, there are multiple reasons we lost, coaching decisions are at the top of the list. live and learn as the saying goes... We shall return with a vengeance! Go Bills!!!

The O line run blocking difference from last year is that we lost Spain, and then Ford was playing injured then he was out on IR, last year run blocking was noticeably better with those guys on the O line. For some reason or another no one seems to see this or even brings it up, oh well.. Go Bills!!!

Is Webb a better weapon as s back up? I ask because I never hear much about his actual capacity. Go Bills!!!

This just goes to show that refs by and large wing it game to game. This obvious and ongoing farce has become a running joke. It is on the owners to do something about it, which is the same as saying nothing will be done about it.

Frankly it’s unlikely that either of them are brought on board, both are to old, to slow, and to expensive. We need to up grade our run blocking schemes first and foremost, and Dane is the current up and coming CB2 as things stand presently. Sherman is just as slow as Norman and we have two RBs that are not what is called fast by NFL standards. This would be a step backwards or sideways at most. Go Bills!!!

I’ll go ahead and say your wrong, Diggs got a boost in pay when he signed in Buffalo after getting a new contract/more pay shortly before he left the Vikings. Diggs would be a massive tool on all fronts to insist on additional money at this time, that and Beane will tell him as much, only in a more professional manner should he choose to go down that road.
