  1. Gonna be difficult to stop KC, if offensive holding is never called. Jags need to bring more pressure...throw everything at Henne, play aggressive defense
  2. Agree, he's likely only coming back if Henne is knocked out
  3. Where is the holding calls on these stretch run plays?
  4. Soon as that shoe comes off, that ankle is gonna balloon. 50/50 he returns...high ankle sprains, which is what it looked like, are not the type of injury that many players return for in 1-2 weeks, let alone same.game.
  5. Need some screens, slow down the pass rush
  6. Less mobile Mahomes, should definitely mean more press coverage and taking away the underneath/quick passes. Let him try planting and throwing deep, I'd take my chances with that
  7. Agree, that's exactly what it looks like/happens when ankle rolls in
  8. Bring the pressure against Mahomey now
  9. Uh oh....mahomes
  10. Disagree. Jags offense will move the ball...Lawrence needs to settle in, like to see some run game
  11. Let's go Jags!!!
  12. Agree on the 2nd part. Think that's a great strategy...especially running stunts with 3 DEs across the line +Ed.
  13. Do you know how bad his calf is/when he injured it exactly? I didn't think so...he could be managing a very minor strain...everyone is dealing with something this time of year. At least we have our starting slot and our 3rd DT back...does that satisfy your pessimism?
  14. I'd consider this an upgrade over last week. McKenzie is back, good chance on Jordan too.
  15. Way too many ppl talking about Dolphins dropped passes... 1. 1st drive: Waddle drops a 40+yards. No points on drive, likely a FG at least if caught. 2. 1st half: Hill drops a 7 yard slant. No points on drive. 50/50 if this would have led to a FG. 3. 1st half: Wilson drops a pass in the flat. Would have been no gain either way, Dolphins got a FG on this drive Please mention the other drops. If anything, our tackling was an issue as we let them convert a couple drives that should have been stops. Bottom line, our defense played great 2nd half
  16. We're obviously not Bmores defense, but have some very good players of our own. I'd be watching what the Ravens do against that offense, it's one of few teams that have held them in check. Big part of that has been limiting Tee Higgins...and shutting down the run game. Hopefully Jordan Phillips is ready, we need all hands on deck for our dline to create havoc
  17. My guess: 1. If Ravens win, we will play at 4:30 Saturday 2. If Bengals win, we will play at 3:30pm Sunday
  18. More accurate, would be saying that his defense/ST contributed ALOT toward that number. Thompson and the Dolphins offense, sustained basically 2-3 drives. Credit to the Dolphins defense for forcing those turnovers, and their scheme today. They took away a big part of makes Josh and our offense dangerous, and that's his escapability/rushing yards. They limited that by dropping a safety and using the S or LB to lurk/spy. Also their DTs seemed to keep great gap integrity.
  19. I agree. But if they are going to put 8 in the box, and lurk a safety, then you need to take those chances...especially when the short pass game was struggling. Dolphins played a smart scheme, basically go for broke on defense...either force turnovers, or get smoked. We took advantage 1st qtr, and at times throughout, but they clearly knew they weren't gonna win without some splash plays by their defense. Any other day, this could have been 41-13 type of win...just missed too many chances to bury them.
  20. Being at the game, not sure if this was mentioned on the broadcast or up thread, but in response to Elam and Tres alignment... I noticed they moved Tre to the short side of field and Elam on the wide side on almost every snap. Makes sense if they are mixing certain coverages to each side. But just interesting
  21. Not sure if already said, but that's what Miami was sorta giving us. Dolphins played an extremely aggressive defense, even if they didn't blitz it was "robber" coverage/dropping a safety down...and part of our issue on offense was failing to connect on short crosses. Josh hit Beas for 1, a big play, but missed Shakir a couple times, Beas at least once, etc. Gabe 1-1 vs their 2nd corner, I'd take Gabe all day...it worked against their cover 2, it worked for a TD, and it came very close to working on that 1st sideline fade in 4th qtr
  22. Agree. I think it's possible that Teddy is playing, that'd make a lot more sense on the line movement. Dolphins just came to town, -7, and took it to the wire. Held the lead in the 2nd half...my point is if Tua is a sure thing to play, the line is either 7 or 7.5...10.5 to 9 likely points to Teddy and Armstead availability.
  23. That could work, but the 49ers offense is loaded with playmakers. Even before CMC...Kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, stable of other RBs, very good oline, excellent scheme/playcalling. That's why a mediocre/game manager qb can keep that train rolling. Difficult to replicate that, basically Goff was already in a similar situation with the Rams and traded away so they could take the next step forward. Similar to the 49ers who drafted Lance, the Lions would be wise to take a QB high if they really like one coming out. It's a QB league, and unlikely they win a championship with Goff.
