Looking forward to watching him play. He was considered the front runner to back up Dalton before hurting his knee. I am hoping he shows decent "backup skills" and go with him and Josh the rest of the year. IR Derek, keep him around on the sideline and QB room for the season, and send "Peterson" to PS. One and two set for next year, bring in a late draft pick or an UDFA for PS, and QB is set for 2019/2020. Of course, it hinges on Josh's improvement, but this what I had hoped for, and now he rests for two weeks.

And I am with you Hapless. The Kid has 4.5 games under his belt. Would have been nice to have all the number one reps in training camp, but here we are. He is learning, you can see it, and Derek Anderson will be a nice addition to help him.

He was on the 53 the first week, but yes, this is true.

I love that he worked on his game after his season ended and played well in the Senior Bowl while cleaning up some of his "issues". I love how he worked through the Summer at camp and rarely made the same mistake multiple times. I LOVED how he took the brunt of the criticism of his last pre-season game upon himself. He is not Carr, Wentz, or Mahomes, everyone's background and make-up is different. Play the Kid, I believe he is special. Regarding the throw to Foster, did he follow through completely, or did he take a shot in the chest as soon as he released?

...and taking a shot in the chest with no follow through.
