  1. Well…we essentially ran it back on offense last year.
  2. All I can say is this…close your eyes and imagine Josh Allen with an offensive minded HC that builds the team around him on that side of the ball. Can anyone say that wouldn’t have a chance of netting better results?
  3. Not sure about the players, but love the positions at each pick. It needs to be offense heavy this off-season.
  4. I think the glaring weakness is their reluctance to spend top picks and resources on the offense altogether. Yes, I know they traded a first rounder for Diggs, but why stop there? They used a few seconds on offense, but it’s not enough. The guys they drafted for defense have been role players on an idiotic rotation, and not dawgs that can make an immediate impact. Their entire draft philosophy needs to change.
  5. I disagree with edmunds. First of all, I hope they keep him. Second, if they don’t then they have to make bernard work. You don’t draft a LB in the third as a fall-back to possibly losing edmunds and give up on him this soon.
  6. In what world can McD complain about the talent of the players when he has spent most of the prime resources on his precious defense?
  7. Beyond idiotic? Give me a break. It’s completely reasonable to question them. Davis was basically handed the WR2 gig after his big game against KC. They betted on him and lost. To make it worse, they didn’t bring in anyone for him to compete with, which is something they talk about ad nauseum. Crowder? Ok. Whatever. But on a one year deal with a history of injuries? McKenzie? How does this guy keep staying on this roster? All the criticism over the neglect at WR is completely warranted for Beane and McD.
  8. I really get tired of the “drought years” as a reason we shouldn’t be hurting NOW. Its a lame thing to say.
  9. This is a good point and one that I’ve considered. Davis is in his contract year next year and McD hates playing rookies. It’s something to keep an eye on.
  10. He wasn’t involved more because the other team had a plan to take away his touches and make the other “weapons” beat them. No one stepped up, so here we are. We need another weapon or two to take pressure off Diggs and he will eat.
  11. I think there will be receivers available. This class isn’t as top heavy as last year, but there will be a few that will be late first rounders.
  12. I don’t disagree. Epenesa and Basham are not good and we’re misses. But I can’t fathom a scenario where Beane gives it another go and drafts DE again unless it’s the last couple rounds. Please tell me you are joking…
  13. Neither. Use a first round pick on one. Control him on the cheap for five years.
  14. Saffold as a one year solution only really works if you have someone ready to step in after that one year. They didn’t do enough to get other guys in here to learn the system and step right in.
  15. Definitely disappointing but I still blame coaching. These guys didn’t just forget how to play football. They are put into bad situations. Just like last year we all thought a first round corner would help avoid another 13 second disaster. Well…no one wanted to put the blame on the coaches that rushed 3 and kept the corners off the ball. It was coaching, not personnel. I agree that the personnel on offense needs upgraded, but I equally think that a new DC and scheme could make the guys we already have on d more than serviceable.
  16. Funny you bring up Oliver. It’s pathetic he’s our last top 10 pick and is completely taken out of games. I’d be ok with trading him for picks.
  17. Considering that we missed Daquan Jones more than anyone else yesterday, I have to disagree somewhat. We have pieces. Jones was a late round draft pick and a FA addition last year and played his butt off. He would have been a major factor yesterday. The point is…we don’t need to keep investing premium resources into the d. We can go dumpster diving there as much as we have with the o. Bring in a new DC with a more aggressive philosophy and get the most out of the players that we have on that side of the ball.
  18. I don’t think McD or Beane are going anywhere anytime soon. However…I do believe pegula needs to step in and insist that more is put into the offense. That means premium resources and not dumpster diving while they invest a ton into a DL rotation. They stumbled onto Allen and it’s absurd if they have any plans of adding to the DL this off-season.
  19. You completely lost in this post with the “brown is solid” comment.
  20. If I was Allen I’d be dejected too…the reality that Beane will draft the BDPA (best defensive player available) is looming already… Agree. Bring in reich. He won a sb with the eagles and would be great for Allen.
  21. That’s kinda the point i was making. He was forced into the slot after they let Beasley walk and crowder got hurt. Now…Beasley is back because McKenzie was struggling and now he can do what suits him best.
  22. Can’t argue this. Other than the pick used to trade for Diggs, the highest pick Beane has used for a WR is round 4. I do expect it to change this draft, though.
  23. I think the only way McKenzie sees any burn is in gadget situations. With Beasley back, I think the slot is his for the rest of the playoffs.
