Who is your slightly surprising cut?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hardly a “top player on their roster” Over valuing a guy with his drop rate and pedestrian production is “the most hilarious thing I’ve ever seen”(which it’s honestly not, but since we’re going to really overstate our case here, you must not watch many funny things). -
GDT: Bills at Panthers 7PM
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not saying Sills is anything special, but as I mentioned elsewhere, it’s kinda hard to evaluate any WRs who are primarily on the “receiving end” of passes from Jackson... Im starting to think the reason he’s the first one on the field everyday at camp is to help move the hospitality tent a safe distance from the practice area. -
10 observations Bills v. Panthers
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s cool that they’re giving (gave) Tyree a chance, but by keeping him on this roster it’s almost impossible to evaluate what else they might have further down the depth chart at WR. -

I am not making light of anything, I’m just wondering if this had anything to do with his mental health issues he experienced just because there have been some studies done over the last few years linking lasik to psychosis. http://vivo.med.cornell.edu/display/pubid84995768034 https://www.healio.com/ophthalmology/cornea-external-disease/news/print/ocular-surgery-news/{4e39c27a-f999-4200-9c51-e3b01266a90b}/dry-eye-depression-and-lasik-serious-thoughts-about-a-serious-issue https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/27835728/ -
WR battle heading into first preseason game
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno about “people”, but I sure as ***** was... Yeah I forgot, WRs who fail top total 1000 yards in two seasons combined, while serving as the top WR option are totally untouchable... cutting a WR who has completely failed to live up to his potential would be unfathomable in the league, totally unprecedented!!! Especially when they have trouble with their primary responsibility, ya know, actually catching the football... -
WR battle heading into first preseason game
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well the WR position is still far from deep. Foster, you know he’s not going to catch everything, but he breaks those big plays so you deal with it and just hope he continues to improve. Brown and Beasley are both proven commodities. After that who knows, it is possible Zay makes the team due to overall lack of talent at the position but I could also see Cam Phillips taking his spot. Phillips routinely stands out throughout camp and made his time on the field count Thursday. Still two more meaningful preseason games, but I think the WR group on the final 53 could definitely be Brown, Beasley, Foster, Phillips, Roberts, McCloud/McKenzie. -
WR battle heading into first preseason game

I don’t see what Zay brings to the table. Seems like a nice guy, but he just never seems to be ready for the moment, I think the NFL game is just too big for the small school product. Josh needs dependable WRs, but Jones continues to show us he is the polar opposite. It’s definitely not uncommon to swing and miss on a 2nd round WR, and I can’t think of another who has been afforded more opportunities to succeed, and just continues to literally drop the ball, now 3 years in. He is the Nate Peterman of WRs, when does he run out of chances? -
Preseason Colts at Bills 7 pm
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, but he always looks decent, has never looked out of place on an NFL field, and he was looking good in Denver too until he did what Chad Kelly’s do and imploded. Kid’s got talent. -

Imagine if Chad had anything between the ears, kid could be legit, at the very least a career backup and make some real good $. Just can’t get out of his own way. -

Atleast Bodine didn’t get the start at Center without Morse. He should be cut, even Long would have to be better back at C than Bodine... -

Tom Brady : Not winning Father Of The Year

So we’re jumping off rocks, from dangerous heights, with wet feet?. Oh and the kid is just that, a CHILD. What could possibly go wrong? Better make sure they learn those valuable, important life lessons of rock jumping... I mean the risk vs reward is CLEARLY worth it... risk- slip, possibly fall to your death, or possibly paralysis or other serious injury. reward- jumping off rocks into water. And people still question Darwinism??? To each their own, I tend to live my life and parent through a pretty basic set of “risk vs reward”- if risking serious bodily injury(or worse) for the simple rush of leaping off of high, jagged rocks into a pool of water is worth the risk to you, then no problem with it. Personally, I’ll go ahead and file Tommy’s initial decision making to have his young daughter jump in the first place under “questionable parenting”. -
Tom Brady has been the poster child for "You don't need elite arm strength or physical tools to be a great QB"... now, in his 40's he's suddenly a gun slinger who can zip the ball on par with guys like Mahomes and Allen in their early 20's??? Yeah, pretty sure Brady is just messing with everybody, per usual.

McDermott’s scheme also relies on the front 4 being able to put pressure on the passer more so than most other schemes, and using blitzing/pressure packages less frequently than the league average. For this reason, Lawson is not a great fit, he is not a 3 down lineman who can be relied on to bring pressure consistently like Greg Hardy in his prime... As a rotational piece, sure but this is why they went out and signed Murphy, when healthy he can do both where as Lawson is mainly only effective at “setting the edge”. They already tried to upgrade with Murphy, i don’t expect them to stop. Still wouldn’t rule out a late trade for Clowney, or making a push for him next year, he would be an ideal fit.

Wow... such a bad take. Even mentioning him in the same breathe as Bortles and Tannehill is laughable. -
Kevin Johnson making strong push for #2 CB
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This DB group is just stacked. The safeties are a great tandem, and then the talent and depth at corner is insane. Tre, Levi, KJ, EJ, and Taron. I doubt you find better talent from #1 corner to #5 anywhere else in the league. Obviously a couple of those guys carry the “injury prone” tag so hopefully we can find the next Levi Wallace to stash on the PS when one or two goes down. -
Team QB Situations according to Yardbarker

How do people get paid actual $$$ to pump out uninformed, ignorant garbage like this? It has simply polluted the internet, everywhere you look, not just football, so called “journalists” giving their broad strokes opinions like they are gospel without doing the actually dirty work like, ya know, bothering with explicit details, for example-watching actual games and noticing how much Allen’s play improved towards the end of the season, factoring in drops %, or the vastly improved OL going in to 2019. Everybody just wants to put out content, nobody seems to give a flying 747 about the actual quality of said content. If anything, more writers just seem to want to stir the pot and generate reactions/clicks/likes rather than providing serviceable information or presenting well informed opinions. -
I think Brown, Beasley and Foster are locked in... everybody else has to earn their spot. It wasn’t Beane who traded up for Zay, and if some of these guys just outplay him through camp and preseason, I could definitely see him cut. If I had to bet, I would say he does make the team, but wouldn’t be shocked if a 2nd rounder who has underperformed for his first couple years in the league didn’t make the final 53.

The belligerent drinking was ridiculous 7 years ago, it was why I stopped attending games. The breaking point was when I paid good money to sit on the 50 in the middle of the 100’s, when they were on the hot streak to start the season with Fitz. The guy next to me was an Iggles fan who kept to himself but was being harassed by people who, you know, take this stuff entirely too seriously. He was a nice enough guy, and then the ***** behind him literally puked all over him. I had never felt so bad for another fan. The drunk ran off and security (sheriff’s department?) didn’t even apprehend him... If you can drink like an adult, then have a good time, if you need to get completely cocked by 1pm on a Sunday and jump through tables like a total asshat, then go to a frat party.
