You’re lack of perspective is concerning... how many drives did the Bills offense sustain to give the defense any chance to regroup, gather their bearings, or even catch a breath? In order to field a successful defense, your offense needs to sustain drives. That’s football basics 101. They had held their own despite Brady chewing up clock, but the Bills offense couldn’t get into any rhythm and stay in the field, but the late 2nd half the D just didn’t have anything left in the tank.

The defense scored under 20, again? And couldn’t sustain drives to get a breather?

Josh plays much better in a quick, uptempo offense, where he is just reading and reacting instinctively more than he does with Daboll’s garbage offensive gameplan. Its like Daboll wants Josh to be somebody else for 3 quarters, but then ge 4th rolls around, he has no choice but to let Josh be Josh.

If you are referring to Knox on that back corner endzone throw, we have two very different ideas of wide open. Daboll is bad because his game plan for the Patriots was terrible. One play where you think a TE may have been open and he’s a good OC suddenly? despite trotting out a woefully unprepared and terribly scripted offense for the first entire first half? If not for one miracle throw by Josh, they go into the half with a deficit. All I saw yesterday on offense was a couple big throws by Josh that kept the team in the game, and a poor offensive game plan as a whole.

Loss on Daboll. Not sustaining drives and then falling short once again in the same exact situation as the Baltimore loss at the end of the game. Obviously Josh missed some throws, but then he goes and makes throws I don’t think anybody else could make. Defense played a hell of a game. You tell me Tom Brady is running 70 plays at home and I assume they hung atleast 40. As Steve Smith just said “lacks creativity”...

D just gassed at this point... awful? They gave up 16 points until that drive, it would help if the Bills offense could sustain drives.

I can’t watch this ball placement for this next 15 years, he needs to get it under control. I’m not even trying to drudge up the tired innacuracy narrative, (though that last thrown was hospitality tent bad), his actual ball placement NEEDS to get better, somehow.

Definitely thought the season might be over at that point. As important as Allen’s diverse play has been, Tre White is the team MVP this year.

The only chance this team has is defensive/ST points. I get that it’s been two tough defenses in a row, but Josh has to be better than this. Right now he is just another Mitchel Trubisky, far too inconsistent week to week.

I agree the team looks good going forward. As for this year, I have a hard time seeing them putting together a legit run for a Championship, or even being anything other than one and done... Hopefully I am very wrong, and this team can step up to the plate and go get a quality win next week. Steelers shouldn’t be able to move the ball on this defense, if they get anything more than 17 points I will be disappointed. Allen needs to hit those deep throws. I know all QBs miss them, but these are difference makers. They put points on the board, open up the defense, and demoralize the defense. He has to start hitting these big time throws if they are going to win these tough games. The intermediate stuff is great, and probably the most important component to sustained success, but it doesn’t negate the importance of being able to deliver a consistently catchable deep ball.

I bet Ryan Bates, or whoever else they had to trot out there would’ve atleast engaged a defender, or atleast acknowledged their presence as they blew by...

By then Murphy and Star will come off the books with their replacements drafted. Allen is only in year two, same for Edmunds and both have the 5th year option. Milano will get decent $ but an OLB isn’t going to break the bank. That leaves plenty to pay Tre the top CB money he deserves and likely top 5 LT money to Dawkins. With the way in which Beane got this team to this point cap wise, I’m not worried about him retaining the necessary parts while maintaining enough cap space to address needs as they arise.

Calls still favored Dallas yesterday, Buffalo was just the far superior team.
