The belligerent drinking was ridiculous 7 years ago, it was why I stopped attending games. The breaking point was when I paid good money to sit on the 50 in the middle of the 100’s, when they were on the hot streak to start the season with Fitz. The guy next to me was an Iggles fan who kept to himself but was being harassed by people who, you know, take this stuff entirely too seriously. He was a nice enough guy, and then the ***** behind him literally puked all over him. I had never felt so bad for another fan. The drunk ran off and security (sheriff’s department?) didn’t even apprehend him... If you can drink like an adult, then have a good time, if you need to get completely cocked by 1pm on a Sunday and jump through tables like a total asshat, then go to a frat party.

The Magnificent Seven - Bills front 7
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ansah would definitely be a 1 year prove it deal, or at worst a multi year deal that the team can get out of next year without taking a big dead cap hit, so I would take a flyer in hopes that he can return to form of just two seasons ago. Maybe between him and Murphy we could squeeze out 19 games. -
Buffalo Bills Confirmed UDFA Signing. (2 Left)

Nobody wants to replace Foster. Dude is on a super team friendly contract, clearly has a certain chemistry with Allen, but he’s also had like 8 good games and is far from a sure thing. Then after him you have Zay... that’s all I’m gonna say about him bc I don’t have any faith in that dude to amount to anything at this point. Brown and Beasley are nice additions, but even with these two on the roster the WRs aren’t anything spectacular and they could use atleast one more legitimate addition to the group. -

It would be great if Sills is this year’s Foster. Nothing better than finding legit UDFA’s who can actually contribute on the field. -
Best Available going into Day 3.

Just take WRs with the rest of the picks. I feel like it’s a position you can hit on late in the draft, Foster was a UDFA, Stevie was a 7th, Antonio Brown a 6th, and countless other examples. The roster is pretty stacked everywhere else, could maybe use another LB for depth but that could be filled via FA... Just draft a few WRs late like they did last year and hope you find the diamond in the rough. -

So difficult to enjoy the draft knowing this poor guy is going through this... We all die, but I can’t help but tear up at the thought of having to leave his young children behind. Prayers are with you Pancho, praying for an “Andy Dalton curse breaking” miracle. And even though I know you’re not reading this as I’m sure every waking second is being spent with your wonderful family, hopefully you can take some solace in the fact that the greatest fan base in the world will do whatever it can to look out/take care of your little Pancho Billas. If we can generate all the money for the charities we have as a fan base, there is no doubt in my mind that we will go above and beyond to help out your family, and most importantly make sure the memory and spirit of Pancho Billa lives on as long as their is Buffalo Bills football. Your strength and courage in the face of overwhelming adversity is truly an inspiration on a level that can’t justly be put into words. -
This would be an awful move. Impact players can come from all rounds of the draft, giving up early picks to land an interior lineman while your WR Corps is definitely still amongst one of the worst in the league is just a bad move. They need to move down, acquire an extra 2nd atleast, then move back into the 1st and grab a WR. I agree DL needs to be addressed, but this class is deep and this would be like trading up for Sammy all over again in a draft class loaded with premium talent at the WR position (Evans, OBJ taken after him in the 1st, Adams, A Rob and Landry all in the 2nd)... They had a great FA, but I think you have more of a chance at finding players to help you win if you have more choices in the first 3 rounds rather than putting all your eggs in one basket like the last regime did with Sammy. There are lots of quality DL to be had in the first 3 rounds, don’t Whaley this draft.

PFT Mock: It's Burns aAt #9
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dang you're right. Miles Sanders is on the list but doesn't count towards their 30 bc "Penn State is their home market", so they only had 29 visitors listed... Good catch, I wish he wasn't on the list, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt if he is the pick. -
Someone on this list - Bills 30 Pre-draft visits Remember, Allen and Edmunds were both pre draft visits last year, so Buffalo's 1st round pick(s) are most probably one of the 30 mentioned here... Beane trades down, selects Sweat, then uses some of that haul to move back into the first to take Metcalf, Brown, or Harry. Judging by the visits, they are definitely committed to upgrading the DL, WR, and RB positions as they have visited with quite a few 1st and 2nd round prospects at those positions. I think they will take OL if they can get one at the right value but definitely won't reach after everything they did to address it in FA, and Taylor/Little are the only two OL with 1st/2nd round projections with whom they brought in for a visit. Judging by the list* (which is incorrect as Brian Burns was a visit, Rumblings missed it), J. Williams, and Hockenson aren't on their radar.

PFT Mock: It's Burns aAt #9

If he's not on this list https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2019/3/22/18269766/2019-nfl-draft-buffalo-bills-top-30-pre-draft-visit-tracker-rumors-notes then I don't think the particular player is on Buffalo's radar for the 1st round. Josh and Tremaine were both pre-draft visits last year, and I think that is likely to be the case this year. Burns I don't think is in consideration at 9. -

Both Allen and Edmunds were pre-draft visits. Burns and the frequently mocked to Buffalo Jonah Williams have not been reported to visit One Bills Drive. -
Select 2 players that will be drafted by Buffalo
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Montez Sweat- trade down with Redskins, so they can jump ahead of the Donks for the best QB available. AJ Brown- trade back into the first, get the best overall WR and the all important 5th year option. Both guys have had pre-draft visits, whereas I did not see Jonah Williams or Brian Burns on the list, but perhaps they got all they needed at pro days/combines on those two? -
If they are buying into “this is a playoff team”, and will have the cap to acquire FA’s next season like they did this year, then who cares if they give up what would be a late 1st for arguably the best player in the draft???? That’s ridiculous. I would be all for this if Buffalo gets THE top player in the entire draft class. Giving up next years first which I’m sure Beane is hoping is atleast in the late 20’s considering the roster he has put together, and some extra late round picks the Bills have to spare doesn’t seem like a terrible price to pay to move up from 9 to 2 if they think Williams will be the piece that takes the defense from very good to elite.
-
If last year’s draft showed us anything, it’s that Beane definitely likes players with elite physical traits and trusts his coaching staff to take elite specimens like Allen and Edmunds to mold them into elite NFL players. For that reason alone I believe Metcalf is definitely in play at 9. Not my preferred choice at 9, but it should hardly shock anybody if D.K. is a Buffalo Bill come Thursday evening...
-
They likely see a player with some exceptional, unteachable intangibles, likely a 6th-UDFA, who they feel could have potential at the next level with the right coaching. (See Foster, Robert). I think it’s the common sense approach to take, load up on the guys with the intangibles you can’t teach and see how many can absorb good coaching and take their play to the next level, that’s how you find those late round gems. Especially when you already have most needs met, worst case scenario the player usually contributes in some capacity on ST. Besides, everybody’s gotta eat.

Joe B: 2019 NFL Mock Draft No. 2
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oliver at 9, then jump ahead of the Pats and grab Fant at the end of round 1. not that I don’t like Joe B’s draft, just not sure Hock lasts til 15. -
It makes sense to try and trade back into the later part of the 1st if you are really high on a player, because you get the 5th year option if things pan out. I could see Beane following a similar train of thought, especially this draft with an abundance of picks and coming off a very active FA period. The draft will be about quality > quantity.

Too Early Mock Draft?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So there no chance Josh Allen falls to 9??? I can’t be the only guy hoping we draft a Josh Allen in the top 10 in consecutive years.
