  1. Singletary has some weak spots in his game, but I think you can win with him. He isn’t a guy who can break off big runs with his speed. Speed isn’t everything, it mostly allows guys to break away in those rare open field situations. The ability to make guys miss is just as important, and Singletary has plenty of that. I’m not sure why everyone is so down on Singletary this season. The results haven’t been there, but everyone was happy with him last season. He proved his game translates to the NFL, so I’m not sure what changed. I find it hard to believe that Singletary has suddenly become a bad player. Nothing about his speed has changed since last season. We all saw how amazing Fred Jackson was for us, while the speed guy in Spiller wasn’t as productive. Being a back isn’t all about speed. It might be nice to have a speed back on this offense, but that doesn’t mean we can’t win with Singletary. The offensive line is naturally the first variable that I look at. They haven’t run blocked at all this season, and that oline was one of my greatest concerns going into the season. Unfortunately, everyone immediately blames the back in these situations.
  2. I agree, he’s the type of player I expect to pursue the path that gets him the most attention. That’s why I see KC as the front runner. I’m not convinced that he cares about anything more than publicity.
  3. I agree with the people saying he’s a mid level QB. Those guys can be quite good these days. Factor in the reality that our defense can make anyone look good right now, and that’s about it.
  4. He might want to consider guys with speed and burst. Those type of runners fit in perfectly with this type of spread offense. Our guys look slow.
  5. Everyone has bad games, I get that. Josh does look bad tonight though. He’s entitled to a bad game, but the decision making looks like the old Josh who drove me crazy. This might be a one time deal, it happens to everyone.
  6. Josh not doing much to change national media narratives tonight.
  7. Crucial for the defense to step up here, this could be the game.
  8. It’d also be nice if a second round DE could contribute something. I’m not writing off Epenesa, he might become great, but how often do second round DE’s hardly see the field ?
  9. I think no one is getting open, and he simply trusts Diggs on 50/50 balls. He’s just getting a little carried away throwing in spots where Diggs doesn’t even have a chance.
  10. Fair enough, he’s been great this season, he just doesn’t look “under control” tonight like he has the rest of the year. I’m seeing some “ bad Josh” this evening.
  11. Yep, I’m thinking Beasley might not be getting as many open looks with Brown not on the field, so Josh is making the mistake of forcing it Diggs.
  12. I also think they lost some guys who were quietly key elements, and their draft picks haven’t stepped up.
  13. We have a lot of recent defensive draft picks who really need to step up.
  14. I’ve noticed this at many stadiums. I wonder if CBS pipes their own sound in too.
  15. It’s been a long time since we drafted a WR who made me think he could be a complete player. Davis fits that bill.
