  1. They lost Daboll and Sanders too. May not be enough to worry but certainly enough to be concerned.
  2. Right because on-campus rape is so often swiftly dealt with and justice usually prevails. Except it rarely does. Most of the time it goes unreported. And then the schools and the coaches can help cover up the truth. We should applaud her strength in going to the police the next day.
  3. My take too. Doesn't look like he tries to drive him into the ground. Just a hard hit. I have no idea why the NFLPA doesn't force the NFL owner's hand and ban preseason games. They are worthless. 2020 football without preseason was perfectly fine. You really think Allen and the starters playing 10 plays will make any difference in quality of play? They played pre-season games last year and they stunk against Pittsburgh. Bills best season in terms of offense was 2020. No preseason. It's not needed. They can figure out the roster bottom feeders in practice. With a larger PS it is even less important. They see these guys in practice enough.
  4. I'd give them an A minus. I I beleive them that they did not know anything at the time of the draft. I still beleive MA told them his side of the story and they never knew the horrific nature of the crime. No way did they do a "thorough" investigation. That is my only issue. That statement was nonsense and made the matter worse. As I posted earlier, what are they supposed to do? The victim is not going to talk to them and the police are under no obligation to share any information. They should have said they made the decision with their understanding of the facts at the time. I'm proud they got rid of him as quickly as they could. I hope justice prevails. If MA's involvement is found to not be criminal and he can resume his career I'm still fine cutting him now. Bills drafted him with what they knew, they cut Haack at the time with what they knew, and now they are making the best decision in the moment. If they turn out to be wrong so be it. It's a job not a court. On another note, I still want to know if SDSU impeded the investigation and why it is taking so long for police/DA to make a decision to charge MA mad others.
  5. How do you know it is unfair? Losing his job may just be the start. He might be in jail if he led that girl to get gang raped.
  6. Figured that would happen. Gives him the chance to heal and sign with another team later this year.
  7. May not be NFL punishment, but when he is cut later today and not signed by any other team it will be just the same Give Cleveland a 7th for Corey now and be done with this nightmare Gone forever sounds good to me
  8. Yeah Araiza lied to them. Their investigation probably consisted of talking to him and maybe trying to get some inside info from the police. They surely did not speak to the victim. If Beane did not tell McDermott then this is a much much bigger story. I highly doubt that is the case but holy hell that would be a bombshell. 100% agree. Just making the case they were far from perfect before this
  9. Bulletproof? Peterman. PED Murphy. Domestic Dodson. Vontae Davis. And now this... They have been better than most but they have had some colossal blunders too. Worst QB in league history. Guy quit at half-time. Signed a PED cheat.
  10. Yeah he lied to them. Thats my guess
  11. Pretty much showed why we all were exasperated when he was drafted.
  12. I meant that the organization is not the police and can not really do a thorough investigation. Agree the statement was terrible.
  13. Odd people calling out the media. They did their job. Every question was fair. It was the Bills that put out the BS statement. It's entirely fair to ask when and what they knew. And when he says they have work to do its fair to ask what work and how long will it take.
  14. Just watched the post-game press conference. Seems pretty obvious to me McD did not have all the facts that came out in the lawsuit. That tells me two things. Araiza lied to the Bills and the organization did not get all the facts. I don't blame the organization. Its ludicrous to think they can investigate this on their own. Knowing what they know they should have cut him before the game. Even letting him fly home is wrong. McD's reaction when asked about female members of Bills mafia was painful to watch. I've been a vocal critic of McD frequently on this board, but he generally looked broken in that press conference. I will have a new found respect for him when they release Araiza tomorrow.
  15. I've been a Lawson guy for a while now. He deserved to start over Murphy. Hopefully he gets a chance to play.
  16. What is the word on Jordan Phillips this pre-season? I have not heard him mentioned much at all.
  17. Would be a nice development. I would have brought back Hughes. Basham needs the live reps but playing Lawson playing a bunch today means he might not make the final 53. Probably depends if one of the DTs can play DE in a pinch.
  18. Would be less than 25 pages if the Bills did the right thing and cut him weeks ago.
  19. Yes. That's how it works. If they cut him today the news cycles ends by Monday. If not this drags on all year.
  20. He's an punter. Cut him and move on. He's not a star player or even an important one. Treat him as such. Cut him and go find someone else. I don’t care if he is innocent or not. Let someone else take a chance on him. The Bills sole purpose is to win a Championship and who the punter is won't make a difference.
  21. Agreed. Cut this guy now and get back to focusing on winning the SuperBowl. Who the punter is has zero impact on the season.
  22. I've read all 63 pages and at least four news articles covering the topic. I'm sufficiently satisfied this guy is scum. At a minimum he took advantage of a drunk girl unable to consent, and at its worst he led her into a room to be repeatedly assaulted. I want no part of him on the team. I dont care or need to care about due process. That's his problem not the Bills'. Cutting him has nothing to do with legal innocence. He's a punter and one of multiple guys that can be replaced with a street free agent or trade. He is not worth one minute of negative press. If McDermott believes what he preaches then he should have cut him a month ago.
  23. And what if Araiza led her into that bedroom to be assaulted as is stated in the lawsuit?
  24. Agree with others 1. Extend Poyer 2. Sign Knox 3. Tag Oliver next year 4. If Edmunds plays well, cut Milano and sign Edmunds to a long term deal 5. If Edmunds doesn't play better and wants a top 5 deal, then let him walk and draft his replacement
  25. I'm sure there may be. At this point it would be better to sign a veteran after week 1 so the salary is not guaranteed for the whole year. I believe it still works that way.
