  1. Epenesa is arguably the worst player on the 53.
  2. Well one is a penalty and one is not.
  3. Apparently so
  4. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46356840/nfl-tush-push-rule-disconcerting-signals-officiating-philadelphia-eagles-kansas-city-chiefs Didn't see this posted yet and thought it was interesting article. Chiefs were trying to simulate Hurts cadence on the Tush push to get the Oline to jump early. It should have been an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. As the article points out with crowd noise and distance from the QB and defense it would be hard for the official to hear it. Something maybe to watch for in the future.
  5. Vince Wilfork is the NG I think of most in the last 20 years.
  6. I thought about Mack but I should have done more fact checking. He has over 100 sacks and is actually ahead of Garrett, but with 3 more seasons. He was stuck on some really bad teams. Even with 5 playoff game appearances, his teams have had zero wins. He seems like a guy that will need a few years of voting before he gets in. I was limiting the list to active players
  7. I didn't say Wayne was a better WR. There are multiple other players not in the HOF between Hill and Wayne. And yes, Adams, Hopkins, Hill, and DIggs were top 4 WRs in the league at the same time each with different skill sets. I do think longevity stats matter though especially for WR.
  8. LOL. Mahomes didn't just show up in KC. We gifted him to them. Very early. I almost added him to my list. Still doesn't play the run well, but if he keeps the sack volume up then yes he will be in HOF. Probably not a first ballot though is my guess right now.
  9. You know there is a difference between 3 and 4 man defensive lines don't you?
  10. Congrats to Kelvin! I honestly didn't know he was the Lions DC. Glad to see him doing so well. He was destined to be the guy in the Jerry Hughes trade but he has made an impressive transition into a coaching career. If Lions keep playing at this high level he will be sure to get some HC interviews. THIS IS NOT AN ANTI-McDERMOTT THREAD. Just honest praise for a guy that has some remote ties to the Bills
  11. Currently 41st in total career yards. He's 3000 yards behind Reggie Wayne who is not elected. Hill obviously is a superior talent to Wayne but he still needs the numbers. With how hard it is to get WRs in and his domestic abuse allegations, I dont see it. At the age of 31, not sure he has enough career left to make it.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. There are so many guys that could retire in next 1-2 years there will be some hard choices to make.
  13. Heyward is 4 time All-Pro and Walter Payton Man of the Year winner. I think he is a lock for HOF. Not as dominant as Donald was during the same era but Donald is probably in the conversation for top 3 DT of all time.
  14. Good call! Missed him Excellent. Yeah he is dominant. Some really amazing guards of late
  15. Yeah I really struggled with that. You are probably correct. Might depend if he and Rodgers retire at the same time and they opt for only one QB. Great talent. Too many lost years I think. RBs need so many carries and yards to get in the conversation.
  16. Chiefs though I dont think it matters as Chargers are winning the AFC West.
  17. Hutchnson transforms that defense. Unreal QB pressure. Love going for it on 4th and 2 to seal the win. Nice job knee biter!
  18. Hopefull this is a fun topic for early in the week. There are so many amazing players in the NFL now. Generational talents in many cases. These are the players that I think will be first ballot HOF in no particular order. Decent mix of offense and defense. Zach Martin retired this year so he is not on the list but he is first ballot HOF for sure. I feel like I am missing other OL and DBs. Josh Allen Patrick Mahomes Aaron Rodgers Derrick Henry Mike Evans Lamar Jackson Bobbie Wagner Fred Warner Trent Williams Travis Kelce Chris Jones Myles Garrett TJ Watt Cameron Heyward Joel Bitonio Too soon to tell but have a really good chance Penei Sewell Ja'marr Chase Justin Jefferson Patrick Surtain Several young QBs that have a lot to prove yet Probably need to wait until year 2 of eligibility Matthew Stafford Lane Johnson DeAndre Hopkins
  19. Except by replay you could see everyone was covered and he kept moving in the pocket with his eyes downfield. But he has slow eyes right???
  20. Cool to see Kelvin Shepard having a good post playing career!
  21. I think he was just pointing at the flag on the ground already and the fact he didn't have to complain to the refs. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is the play where he drew the flag for roughing. It was not in any way simulated gunshot.
  22. It is not dumb to ask the question. They gave up 40 to the Ravens in a game the Bills did not have a turnover. Dolphins converted 67% of their third downs and many were in long distance. Jets QB is awful. It's the same story for all of McD's tenure. The defense periodically gets destroyed by heavy rushing attacks like Baltimore or go back to 2017 and the Saints 200 yard rushing game. The defense pads the stats against QBs like Fields and probably this week against Rattler. The defense has trouble getting off the field unless the other team makes a mistake just like the Jags and KC in the playoffs, and the Dolphins game with Tua dropping a snap, and twice with illegal man downfield. However, a fair critique of the defense can't omit the frequency with which they create timely turnovers. Credit the defense for the late game stops against the Ravens and the late INT of Tua. Problem is in the playoffs the turnovers disappear. Mahomes has 9 TD passes and zero INTs in the playoffs against Buffalo. What is dumb is to assume the same late season and playoff defensive failures will occur again. There are many new faces on defense and many are young. They may continue to develop and as others have said the PED cheats are soon to be back. Rousseau probably is not going to be this ineffective all season long. Oliver was a beast and does not need to be rushed back. The problem is that young players tend to fade as the season goes on. If they are playing a lot of snaps now, the rookie wall may be quite a problem come January. Maybe this year will be different. Have hope. It's week 4.
  23. Exactly. Brady and Belichick showed how to kill the clock with under 5 min to play with the lead. Use play action pass and dink and dunk them. Keep your routes away from the sideline. Truest your MVP QB to make a good easy throw or tuck and run it.
  24. My grandfather worked there.
