  1. I think the drafting of Gates and the signing of Lee sealed his fate. Could we be opening a roster spot for the BYU kicker, is it Payne?
  2. I don't think $199 for returning customers (I've had the Sunday Ticket for as long as DTV has offered it) is bad at all. DTV's regular programming packages are in many cases cheaper than cable as well. My wife and I drive 12 hours or so each way to all the home games, and watch the away games on Sunday Ticket. I think it's worth the $199 for just half the games, particularly when it keeps me out of the local sports bar (usually) with its $4 per pint Guinesses.
  3. Pasquarelli is a fat, mindless fool. Andre was better than a lot of receivers that are already in, and has both the numbers and a resume of great individual performances to prove it.
  4. You mean your club team beat Maryland's club team, right?
  5. I'm an Orangeman, too, and proud of it, but I wouldn't be too quick to denigrate VT's mascot when we have that macho, intimidating Otto the Orange.
  6. I'd rather be in the Super Bowl every year and lose, than be among the teams sitting and watching. Making it four straight seasons is an accomplishment that may never be duplicated, and being the 2nd best team in the league is a lot better than being nowhere. I certainly wish we would have won at least one, but getting there four stright years certainly made it a fun time.
  7. The guy is a sniveling little twerp who, if he's not dead, should be.
  8. He should have made Bledsoe to Dallas the number 1 move - for the Bills.
  9. I agree. TH will become increasingly valuable as other teams' RBs underperform or go down with injuries.
  10. Bennie Anderson, with McNally's tutelage, is going to be a huge - literally - addition to our line. He is going to be a road grader in front of Willis, and will probably mean we can go left as well as right.
  11. DirecTV is a for profit corporation that will charge what the market will bear. We do, after all, live in a capitalistic society.
  12. . . . And good luck playing without Sam Adams beside you to tie up a couple of O linemen at a time.
  13. Pat is an aging DT who is well past his prime, and wanted way too much money - which the Vikes were willing to pay. It WAS about money. Pat and his agent had a much higher opinion of his value than we did. Goodbye Pat. Have a nice life.
  14. Great for framing and hanging. . .over a urinal.
  15. Yeah, they cost a lot of people their jobs and pensions. I would also add the Rigas family - at least John and Tim - to the list.
  16. He's on the Bills' roster, although last I heard he and the Bills were ironing out some contract details.
  17. You're exactly right, CTM. A little discipline might damage their delicate psyches.
  18. I have a friend (male) who claims to have dated her. No wonder it didn't work out.
  19. The kid probably deserved it, but in modern America, I'm sure the teacher will be the one repremanded.
  20. I'm old, and I remember my dad having one of their original LPs.
  21. She was a very good player - and a babe - who retired at a relatively young age.
  22. A few observations: William Green is the kind of guy - because of character issues - we will never knowingly sign. Who needs the problems? Fast Freddie Smith isn't very fast, and is a very unpolished receiver. He's a good punt returner, but Parrish will be better and Freddie will be gone. Tony Brown is training camp fodder. Reed and Aiken will stick. Jason Peters will be a backup LT, as we have hopes for him to be our starter down the road. Neufeld will play TE behind Campbell and Euhus. Lawrence Smith will be cut. Bannan will be in the DT rotation. Sape and Simon will not. Ezekiel will make it as a 7th LB. Good call on Gause, and I hope you're right on Payne. I think Leonhard will challenge at safety as well.
  23. I went to Rutgers 2 years in a row, and they drew about 18-20K. Again, while I realize that the State University of New Jersey is close to the traditional hotbeds of lacrosse, college LAX is gaining in popularity as more colleges and high schools are developing programs, and TV exposure is increasing.
