  1. Gabe Davis is currently the #1 receiver in the NFL today. 160 yards.
  2. I thought it would be too. It's already a pretty solid blowout. It's gonna get really ugly in the 2nd half.
  3. Pittsburgh needs to find a way to move the ball, or else this game is already over.
  4. Imagine if it wasn't windy!
  5. A tie goes to the runner. 😂
  6. It's the wind! Can't throw today! Build a dome! Oh wait!
  7. Some of us said this game would be a lot closer than others thought, in the prediction thread.
  8. That catch by Shakir was a really STRONG PLAY
  9. That wind is nuts.
  10. OBJ is the icing on the cake move, the guy acquired at the trade deadline to put you over the top and win a championship NOW. I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if we get him.
  11. I looked at this several times before noticing the guy in the window. LMFAO. Is that supposed to be Antonio Brown?
  12. Folks need to understand that the "back injury" was fabricated once someone read the fine print in the concussion protocol. They caught the provision about exhibiting signs of head trauma, and how that means you can't return to the same game, period. So the head trauma was was re-defined as a "back injury". It's the only way they could get him in the game without being categorically in error. Of course the story doesn't make sense or check out; it's all a lie. The problem for the Dolphins is that it's not a particularly well thought out lie, nor particularly compelling.
  13. Are we no complaining about receiving national attention? I thought the mantra here was that we don't get enough.
  14. Great use of the term "Bright eyes." I had an immediate flash to Planet of the Apes, which I enjoyed.
  15. I wonder how many posters here do NOT remember the "Talkin proud" commercials. It's probably MOST folks here. As an aside, I just watched it again for the first time in years. I couldn't help but notice the downtown area looks pretty much exactly the same now as it did then, and this thing was shot in 1980. That's over 40 years ago.
  16. Money. He's very fast.
  17. Turning the NFL from an American sports entertainment product sensation into a WORLD product has to be very high on the list of these guys. Why stop with billions when you can get trillions? I have NO idea how you could have a European division, b/c travel would be unfair for everyone in that division. Then you have the fact that most Europeans don't give a rat's ass about NFL football... I hope this becomes the bridge too far for even the NFL to conquer.
  18. This sums up my feelings as well. Lots of Bills fans think we are going to POUND them...we aren't. Will be a tough game but we are the better team; we'll win, but not in a blowout. I'll say Bills 24, Steelers 13
  19. Your comments here are all fair, and pretty much dead-on accurate as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, I can't listen to Sal. He's useful for reporting stuff that happened "today" over at the stadium/practice field. He'll convey info. on what's happening right now. Anything that involves further insight or nuance he is terrible at, and he ALWAYS is pro-Bills before anything else. I'm honestly not sure he is aware of what a journalist is supposed to be, or why it's important for him to maintain an air of neutrality with regard to the team. I have a fear! The future of "sports talk" is going to be 100% about gambling, all discussions will be betting related, and the intended audience will be gamblers. If that alienates others (like you and me) they won't care...b/c that is the target they are shooting for. I literally turn the stuff off when they bring on their "fantasy consultant" guy for a 20 minute segment, or anything similar. I don't know how Schopp gambles as much as he does with his salary. His wife is an attorney, that probably helps.
  20. I've read enough stuff on this to KNOW that ANYONE he goes to, if competent, would tell him for sure no more football this SEASON. That's the default baseline sit-out period of this, after what's happened already. I'm sure a bunch of doctors, who are concerned only with health issues, would tell him to flat out end his career. He shouldn't be back THIS SEASON and he shouldn't play for Miami again IMO, if doesn't straight up retire. That does look damning, but QBs straight up miss guys who are wide open all over the field all the time in this league! Russell Wilson was doing it quite a bit on TNF, and I don't think he has head trauma right now. As bad as that film looks, I find it a stretch to suggest its indicative of brain trauma. Might be, might not be. Having said that, I have no doubt he WAS suffering brain trauma and shouldn't have been playing. Imm just saying you can't infer that from this film.
  21. Murphy lacks the technical competence to deliver anything close to a great play by play call. I've said this as long as he has been calling the games--I genuinely cannot believe he has that job. It must not be nearly as competitive or desirable a gig as I would have thought.
  22. This has to be in the running for the flat out best live, play-by-play call, in any sport, ever. I mean it's WAY up there.
  23. They got killed in Pittsburgh! I'm ready for the real games to start anyway.
  24. The music and drumming in particular as they cut to break at 41:22 is absolutely fantastic!
