    The thing that pisses me off about those DPI non-calls is that they have been blatant and right on the doorstep where they clearly prevented TDs. Piss poor officiating today, yet our DBs have not been drawing DPI's either. Maybe our guys can mug them if they ever get in the red zone and try to throw it. We will see if they swallow the whistles both ways.

    Is it just me, or is Allen hiking the ball on "Omaha" every time? Is this just a way to setup an Offside... I hope, because we are giving that front 4 a jump on their pass rush.

    True.... need to keep winning that field position battle and I feel good about our chances. Our ends need to be a bit better containing the edges, or better acting to get those holds called

    McKenzie .... that was a dangerous return of a shorter punt. Was holding my breath when he caught that with all that traffic around him. Penalty any way killed that great effort.

    pass pro did not hold up, but need to get back to winning the field position battle. Special Teams has been struggling a bit, but OBD has tinkered with that roster that was pretty solid swapping kickers and key return players. Clearly some growing pains and adjustments.

    The over reaction was your response. Don't recall saying we were the only team that lets long plays like that break off of missed tackles - just prefer if our defense does not let those happen. Last year our defense had a disturbing propensity to piss away our leads... just do not want to see that again.

    What an effective screen can do against an aggressive defensive front and safeties playing too shallow. Our defense had its shots to bring him down and there were missed tackles - was hoping getting off blocks and tackling issues were a thing of the past. We have a solid lead, but need to have that killer instinct to keep the pressure on their throat for 4 quarters.

    More 11 personnel, more running, better blocking, and game plans from Daboll that acknowledge teams have good schemes against his empty sets. Allen is fine, just needed less pressure in his face and a realistic game plan.... and more patience to take the shots underneath.

    Knox can catch this year... that camp seems to have done him good. I was a huge critic of Knox, but I am also a believer that most players can improve their technique and effectiveness with enough work and coaching. The blocking can wait, as long as he becomes a reliable target.

    Josh is deadly in the red zone, can run it, pitch it, throw it, or toss it away.... tough on defenders... I like our odds when we are close.

    Dawson's ole' block on that run.... but he is catching passes better.

    Keep pounding the rock and see if they keep 6 or 7 DBs in the game.... this is what they need to do.

    DPI because DBs are supposed to stop the jam beyond 5 yards.... he kept it up so does not matter that much what Diggs did at the end of the play.
