  1. On one Texans board they were arguing about not kicking the field goal earlier in the game. A perfect deadpan from another poster "then the score would have been a respectable 40-3" 🤣😂🤣
  2. Sorry for all the vertically challenged out there. They are going to be hating on Spencer. All I could think of watching that clip was... images (1).mp4
  3. Levy wasn't very good when he started for the Bills often late covering and weak when tackling... DCs saw this too and that is why he was so often targeted, but iron sharpens iron and Wallace has had to fight each year to stay in the lineup and also knows when he was in the lineup he was going to get targeted a lot. Practicing against the Bills talented receiver core cannot have hurt either. The game has not been too big for him and he has tweaked some of his techniques in coverage that seem to have helped particularly when playing man. He looks back more and reads QBs and recognizes routes better and often knows when to come off his man and undercut another route. These were things you did not see much in years past when he was often reacting a bit late. Wallace will never be T White, but he just needs to be the best corner he can be and keep improving on the things that he does well
  4. They really like calling those holds on just about every end around run play. I think we were the beneficiary on one in Miami too that was called on Gesicki where he didn't even block on the play and they made yards. Miami had Gesicki run a little slant to clear out defenders then did an end around .... flag holding on the TE. With Gesicki's "cough" legendary blocking ability, it was actually a pretty smart play design from an offense that does bone-headed things like trying lateral passes in their own end zone.
  5. It is true that another benefit of having a stable franchise and great QB is the quality of free agents the Bills attract. Smoke, Diggs, Sanders, Trubiski... I can remember when free agents ran away from Buffalo like it was a dumpster fire of disposable diapers. A lot has changed.
  6. They should switch to the Peterman scale once QBR hits 0. .8 can be a 92. Maybe a bit more merciful. Kid really did get thrown to the wolves.
  7. Watt was taking Williams to the wood shed that game. If they handed out flat, deflated game balls most of the OL would have gotten one. Good wake up call, and water under the bridge.
  8. Truth. He's run blocking a guy who loses his balance trying to get to the edge... Williams then shoves him to help him locate the HighMark turf - like he is supposed to do. I think he even had his hands inside and away from that outside shoulder which is hard to do on those reach blocks, but something officials look to flag on those end around runs. Another exciting NFL play deflated by overly officious jerks.
  9. I think Williams was still an upgrade to Ford at guard - for now. We will see who they roll out next week. I get frustrated but try not to hate on our Bills players that are likely doing their best, but Ford has been struggling mightily at RG and LG when he manned that position last season. I want all our Bills players to succeed, but have always had concerns with his foot speed and his ability to play over his base with good balance and leverage. This past draft they really focused on OL players with above average athletic speed, foot work, and balance. Early indications on those prospects are positive.
  10. We really needed him to be a more consistent threat and he has stepped up. I feel like this has been such a big part of what has been missing from this offense when trying to challenge better defenses. Hoping Knox continues to have that breakout year that keeps DCs up at night and Diggs a bit jealous.
  11. Taking a year off to heal and be with the family, combined with a decent rotation to keep him fresh may be just the trick for the solid push this team needs from him.
  12. I think he is playing better than the season prior to the one he took off. Lost some weight, but looks better. Still anchors, but has a quicker first step to get better leverage on the double teams. Getting upfield on some passing downs too. I was really down on Star, but more than happy if he proves me wrong and I eat crow all season long. Zimmer keeping him fresh in the rotation helps too.
  13. Once more... apparently Wanted to enjoy this 40 burger we dropped on another team we held scoreless and have a low peeing in my cheerios tolerance. Enjoy a great win.. next week will be a much tougher test.
  14. True... just like the defense. But having Spencer at RT and moving Williams inside looked better than what we have been seeing to date from other combinations. Pretty sure Bean will find some more talent to plug in over the offseason, but you have to dance with the one you brought. ...and I liked what I saw with guys stepping in and stepping up.
  15. As is every position, but I will take over 250 yards passing (in the pouring rain) and 199 yards rushing as "progress" any day.
  16. This is true. I would not consider any of the teams we played to date as offensive juggernauts. Gotta keep it real for the challenges coming up on our schedule.
  17. Sorry that was a bit snide on my part - needed my coffee fix. Their depth chart just shows DeShawn Watson and he ain't playing. Not sure who their emergency guy is, but do not think he would have faired well against our D.
  18. As someone responded to you earlier...benched in favor of whom??? Texans in a QB depth chart bind till Tyrod is cleared and ready to go.
  19. I'd say today was often addition by subtraction... hungry guys getting push and creating a good pocket. And it is not all pass-pro, I like what I saw in the running game. Guys staying on blocks driving defenders downfield....
  20. Either that or he was on a team where sub-par G play was more noticeable. He looked fine to me and on that trap run play up the gut for a TD.
  21. What's there to say... OL looked good. Run game was solid, and has to be in weather like that. Knox played great and Edmunds had a good game too. Our depth players looked good as we know you have to have a deep bench in this league. Very nice game against a team we were supposed to beat.
  22. Seeing a lot of depth guys out there... smart move.
  23. I think they pulled Willams on that too... could have driven a car through that hole. Moss just needed to not trip over his own guys.
  24. Texans are doing a good job keeping defenders shallow across the end zone taking away those back EZ drags that Allen likes to hit.... may need to throw in front of the GL and drive in with RAC....
