  1. One of my all time fav Bills memories from that run—Steeler killer aka Beebe could not be stopped by physical means, and the Steelers radio play by play crew of Fleming and Cope were beside themselves at how the Steeler D was getting schooled...as if the Bills were out there just playing catch—ah yes, I was a happy camper getting on that school bus full of Steeler fans the next day...

  3. You must've missed all of @Joe in Winslow's posts around draft time this year I take it? . Or the constant corralling I need to do on him when the subject of Bills alums comes up? Just sayin' your take is a little bit "hot" is all. As along-suffering Pirates fan, this of course solidifies the fact for me that all we are is a glorified farm system for the haves of the MLB world--how many of our erstwhile starters who were nobodies with us, have gone on to fame, fortune and championship teams since they left, since, say, 1992-ish? Yeah, just imagine growing up rooting for the Bills AND the Pirates at the same time...
  4. Arguably the Steelers' run of constant wins over the Bills, especially at home, is basically more impressive than what the Patriots have done to us in terms of longevity--wish I could put my finger on it, but it's just a snakebit town for us. Side note as to the last time we won in Pburgh in the regular season--it was 1975 and the Steelers were in their 70's dynastic heyday, winning another Super Bowl that year too. That year's Steelers team went 12-2, and steamrolled through their division 6-0. Their only "real" loss that year? 30-21 at the hand of the eventual 8-6 Bills, in Week 2 (The Steelers other loss was in Week 14 when all starters were resting against the Raiders). Think about that for a minute--the Bills put up 30 points at 3 Rivers against one of the best D units the league has ever seen! Hope springs eternal for this Bills fan...even if I had to reference a game that occurred prior to my even being a twinkling in my dad's eye https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1975_Pittsburgh_Steelers_season
  5. Well good sir, kindly give me just a New York minute to come up with a lot of good reasons for why you’re so wrong...But first, is that a pile of smelling salts I see over there??
  6. Just curious why you decided to go with an avatar name of a guy you hold in such high regard? Was “wrong josh” already taken? on a side note, and totally off topic, but what did you think about his performance under the bright lights of Jerry’s World?
  7. My eyes thank you for your font choices
  8. Small point of order, don’t we need to party like it’s the last time we won AT Pittsburgh in 1992 (Jan. 93 playoff game)? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billboard_Year-End_Hot_100_singles_of_1992 I absolutely cannot fathom that it’s been over a quarter century...it’s go time boys. Time to right some wrongs starting Sunday night.
  9. A loss is a loss, but if it helps set the table/foundation for more wins down the road, I will live with it.
  10. Now this is an off-field NFL story that should get pub for all the right reasons for a change!! Well done sir.
  11. Myles Garrett should receive an honorable mention for coming on strong this season in this category...but to be clear, even though OP specifically wants to hear about players other than Brady, it’s Brady .
  12. Sad. But hardly shocking, and solidifies the fact that NE remains undeterred no matter how many times they have been caught in the act/sanction in terms of their cheating/pushing the envelope to the 'nth degree. Which in turn further adds yet another asterisk to their otherwise historical run of dominance.
  13. Any given Sunday--of course I'm concerned, they [Steelers] have been punching above their weight class for weeks now. But is it the best I've ever felt about going to Pittsburgh in basically forever nonetheless? Yes.
  14. Well now that’s unfortunate that he was any good.
  15. Too soon. The Challenger explosion—that one sticks out to me as a youngster
  16. Or Tony Eason? I’d wager many Patsy fans don’t even realize they had an existence as a mostly crappy franchise reminiscent of the Cardinals or Lions, pre-Bledsoe/Brady. Well durn, I almost can’t remember that either now
  17. This mirrors my experience as a teen at 3Rivers, had my awesome Bills hat stolen by some drunk Steelers fans AFTER already suffering through the Monday night debacle that was the game—talk about classy.
  18. I’m too lazy at the moment to look this up, but does an action animated pic of Jauron on the sidelines for the Bills even exist??
  19. Playing the hapless NFC East competition some more in 2 of the last 3 weeks left may just be the cure for what ails them
  20. This would’ve been a great add-on to visiting my fam up in Western Pa, but I can’t get out of town at the moment, similar issues. Plus I’m still traumatized from the last time I ever saw the Bills play at old 3Rivers—the 1993 Monday night beatdown 0-23...I should prolly look at getting into some therapy for that
  21. Agreed; I’m sure he brings a lot of locker room intangibles to the table/mentoring Singletary, but in terms of a weapon, there’s no contest. He got his all time record, now let’s focus on getting Singletary his late season touches
  22. Eric Wood on the radio call was making the same point, virtually pleading for the Bills to run some screen plays, after noting the first time It was called in the 2nd half—I really don’t understand how you come from the NE tree where they love running that type of crap all day to make aggressive pressure pay, and get rid of the ball quick
  23. Outfitted with or without a transistor radio? Make that WiFi enabled so you can catch Schopp’s postgame gems?
  24. Post of the day. But what about his D guru bro? What a conundrum that sleeping at the office without a shave/shower also couldn’t produce a cohesive plan! Well, the early bird Golden Corral special won’t eat itself, will it?
  25. Get thee hence, voice of reason! No place for you here . Thanks OP, well said...
