  1. Hard to believe after so much review time they couldn’t see what was obvious to the rest of us, along with the announcers. Head scratching to say the least.
  2. Well now don’t let the door hit him on the way out after this year! in all seriousness, I totally agree with OP’s point, but also feel like Dabs has earned a bit of benefit of the doubt with how this year has gone. We’re not all perfect all the time, and today we still overcame a “bad” game in stretches to win. I’m sure there have been lessons learned from today, and Josh will hopefully tell him to knock off the QB runs too.
  3. I forgot in all our blowouts how difficult it is to watch a game that’s close; but I will say the Colts brought their A game today and still lost to our B level effort. Other teams need to be even more afraid of us now, imho. With the monkey off our back, I think we roll next week (provided Dabs stops with the throwback playcalling from Josh’s rookie year)
  4. I’ve suffered several medical emergencies I feel like—and that call to extend their drive was BS
  5. Allen’s gonna be sore after this one
  6. Waiting for the we coulda had Frank Reich threads to start
  7. Best thing on the interwebs this week by far!!!
  8. Uggghhh....that's a lot of days--almost inconceivable. Would anyone here have believed it back in the day when we basically dominated the 90's?
  9. What is this "open paper" thing you speak of?
  10. Could not agree more. What else can the Colts do but stick with the best (only) tools in their toolbox, just as the Giants did in SB XXV? The notion that Frank isn't pondering the exact same scenario is not realistic. Like you said, he was an eyewitness on the sideline to that outcome. However, a few things we have going for us that we did not for that Super Bowl: (1) A strong kicker playing lights out with his FG's; (2) Bills coaching staff knows the same things we armchair types do on this thread and can gameplan accordingly; (3) Colts D is not as strong as that Giants team was, meaning better chance we come away with points per drive/extend the drives we do have. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/nyg/1990.htm https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/clt/2020.htm Oh, and we're due!!!
  11. Funny how naming rights fired back up as soon as the Bills find themselves back in national title contention! 😂 Did anyone mention Wegman's yet?
  12. I like it!! This made my afternoon. Bring on gametime!!!
  13. But Kelly basically was his own OC on the field by virtue of the no-huddle; I’m not sure the OC did that much in game type calls, at least during the Marchibroda years (Bresnahan a different story). On a side note, stumbled across interesting 2014 piece comparing OC calls vs QB playcalling through the years: https://49ers.pressdemocrat.com/coach-or-qb-you-make-the-call/
  14. Good call on a good look! https://auburnpub.com/sports/football/why-bills-qb-josh-allen-wore-panchos-army-jacket-to-sundays-game/article_d36df33f-37ea-5509-9821-a41b8ccd3886.html
  15. The Leap heard round the world in 2018 did it for me--a QB so willing to do whatever whenever necessary to help out the team, was always going to be something special.
  16. The Beas as Spider-Man is right out of central casting lol 😂
  17. Begs the question what's preferable--going to the dance many times and always coming up short, or never getting to go again at all? It's funny, but only in the NFL could some talking heads call the Bills 'lovable losers' for going 4 times and losing all, but which actually means they had to win many more games inc. AFC Championships than Danny boy to ever get there, whilst Marino is normally not referred to as a choker or loser--this would actually apply to any great QB who's never been or only went once, etc...
