  1. I would then expect them to make it back at least 3 more times.
  2. Peter King covers that angle here: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/11/cleveland-browns-nfl-playoffs-fmia-peter-king/ "Travel day. Perhaps the strangest travel day in the august history of the Cleveland Browns. The trip from the Browns facility to downtown Pittsburgh, in light traffic, is one hour, 55 minutes—about 128 miles. It’s always a bus trip. Not this year. “This year,” GM Berry says, “the idea is to create more space, with people not in enclosed spaces for long.” So on this day, two planes, a 161-seat Boeing 737 and a 280-seat Boeing 777, ferry about 60 players and staff per plane on the 26-minute flight to Greater Pittsburgh International Airport. That’s not all, because those 120 passengers don’t comprise the whole team. To be even safer, all 19 coaches who will be available for the game (five on the COVID list will miss the game) are picked up at their homes by drivers from a Cleveland car service, with a plexiglass divider between front and back seat, and driven to the team hotel in Pittsburgh. Everyone from acting head coach Mike Priefer to coaching assistant Ryan Cordell (pressed into service to coach the offensive line) are transported by car. To be even safer, five players, including Ronnie Harrison (suspected false positive) and tackle Jack Conklin (non-COVID illness) were also picked up at their Cleveland homes in five private cars with plexiglass dividers and driven two hours to the Pittsburgh hotel. Cost for the 24 limo rides: $445 per coach and player; $10,680 total. Plus tip. “Anything,” Berry says, “to decrease the risk of transmission.” "
  3. Have seen this more and more with other teams as well, however. Didn't the Colts try the same schtick without success IIRC? But we also go for it on 4th down more than I've ever seen previous regimes do so, FWIW.
  4. It came across to me more in the nature/spirit of good-natured ribbing, like a big brother tussling little brother's hair after yet another competition ends badly for the latter. But yes, I definitely agree the 2 cities/people have shared a lot of similarities through the years.
  5. Not sure if already covered here or elsewhere, but we should be expecting nothing but class from the Ravens, right? 🙄 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30687874/baltimore-ravens-celebration-tennessee-titans-logo-team-unity-not-disrespect "The Ravens were penalized 15 yards for taunting, but it had no impact on the game. Six plays later, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson knelt one final time and ran off the field without shaking hands with the Titans, waving at his teammates to do the same." C'mon Buffalo. Don't let your logo get disrespected this weekend. Win!!!
  6. Every team in the league has resume pads like this for and against—oh, and we’re a soft Tampa breeze at the right moment away from being SB XXV champs!
  7. He’s right about our running scheme/line deficiencies—honestly I sometimes worry how that also could trickle down to our play action, in that if I’m not biting as a viewer because I already know the likelihood it’s going to be an actual run play is slim, how much less will a defender commit for that split second that Josh needs in order for the routes to develop a bit longer?
  8. Fingernails, or what's left of 'em after last week.
  9. Leslie's earned another shot somewhere imho, but the timing (given our playoff run) of even the interviews for both he and Dabs stinks, as has been pointed out already upthread. I do believe that the players & organization as a whole are deep enough into the culture, process timeline that the loss of either or both can be overcome (and maybe even upgraded) for us. That's my story at least and I'm sticking to it!
  10. As good a night as the Browns had last night, I saw Mayfield miss on rollout throws to the sidelines where I thought to myself that's an impossible throw Josh is making practically routinely now...
  11. Of course, in a loss I doubt Brady would've stuck around, but this time... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/01/11/cleveland-browns-nfl-playoffs-fmia-peter-king/ FMIA: After the game, cameras showed you tapping Brady on the shoulder, then having a conversation with him. What’d he say? Heinicke: “Yeah. It’s always really cool when you’re talking to a future Hall of Famer. Probably the best quarterback to ever play the game. It’s a neat experience. He just told me I played a hell of a game, showed a lot of grit out there. And just to keep working. Again, for that to come from him, it’s pretty neat. Not a lot of people get to experience that.” (emphasis supplied). You're right about that, Taylor! 🤣 https://thesportsontap.com/2020/10/09/tom-brady-walks-off-field-without-shaking-nick-foles-hand-again/
  12. Didn’t we almost beat these guys last time with half the quality of squad we have now? 🤔
  13. Maybe Juju forgot to change out his pregame dancing shoes?🤔
  14. So the Steelers have a chance to try to match the biggest comeback in NFL history—or wait, weren’t we down 35-3 when Reich started his 3rd quarter tear?
  15. Hope you’re right! And it would be nice to sock it to the Ravens, who we should’ve beaten last time around
  16. Ugghhh not what we want—Ravens will copy Colts run plan obviously, and have better personnel for that
  17. I believe Bass set a new rookie playoffs distance record today?
  18. Whoever we play will doubtless copy the Colts game plans, the question is who has the personnel to make it happen? FWIW, I’m pulling for the Steelers also to be next opponent. Although, would be nice to have Josh beat the #1 pick from his class...🤔
  19. That was an “all heart & hustle” play.
  20. Nick Wright is this much closer to a ketchup/mustard bath!
