  1. Do you think a lot of people he meets think he has a stammer? "Hi, I'm Jake Fromm from Georgia."
  2. Knox had some key drops but he also made some great plays. I loved the guy as soon as he ran over those Bengals DBs and he made enough plays the rest of the year to make me think he'll show a big step up in his second year. When you consider they barely threw him the ball in college, I think he did pretty well and has the potential to be really good.
  3. Normally I would think this guy is camp fodder, but the way McD is with defensive players I'm already thinking he makes the team!
  4. I'm genuinely surprised by people being upset with getting a kicker. We've got a great roster and it's the sixth round ffs! Be happy, we're no longer having to convince ourselves that John McCargo and Aaron Maybin are smart picks as we try to pretend the rest of the league isn't laughing at us.
  5. I also think it will be good for Allen's development to suddenly be the veteran who helps guide a younger guy. So far he's always been the young guy in the QB room.
  6. In all seriousness, I'm glad they got a QB. Not because I don't want Josh in there (I actually have an unhealthy appreciation/love of Josh Allen) but because the way he runs around and jumps into tackles sometimes I do worry he'll get dinged.
  7. Great youtube highlight of him sacking Josh Allen haha
  8. Yeah, I was predicting seconds before they picked. I'm always wrong
  9. Can't believe Jerry Jones spent 250 million on a yacht. As Hesh said, they have absolutely no re-sale value
  10. I've hated Brady and, to a lesser extent, Gronk for so long now. But it was all wrapped up in them playing for NE. I was just sick of it after 20 years of dominance, seeing Brady trot out in a Pats uniform season after season. Now that he's gone to the Bucs I really don't care that he's still playing. And I don't care that Gronk is coming back. As it stands now I think Brady will have a mildly successful season, with a winning record and maybe reach the WC round. I just want NE to have a crappy year and win 6 or fewer games. If that happened and we won the division then I'm happy
  11. Is Nate Peterman draft eligible?
  12. Shame Shaq has gone. They could have finished their fight
  13. This is a great thread, bringing back a lot of memories, though sadly they're mostly bad as they just remind you of the incompetent shite Bills fans have had to put up with all these years. Jesus, when I think back to the turn of the century and I think about the young ***** kicker I was, before marriage and kids and being responsible, and then I think of going on that journey backdropped by such front office wonders as Marv Levy, Buddy Nix, Doug Whaley and Russ Brandon, getting ready for the drafts every year, always thinking "maybe this year things will be different". The hiring of Dick Jauron. Dick ***** JAURON! Mr 7-9 himself. The only time I really felt any true joy watching the Bills over that time was when Donahoe was given an open check book and got Bledsoe, Milloy, Adams etc. I remember the day we signed Spikes and I was so pumped, I really thought we were going to win the AFC East. Then we hammered NE. Then we beat the living daylights out of Jax. Then it turned to crap and I started crying again. The whole point of this (possibly lockdown induced) outburst is that I am so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so happy to have a competent guy like Beane running things. Even when he's being interviewed he just sounds on the ball, like he, you know, knows what he's doing.
  14. Maybin has to be the worst. He literally did nothing. Not one thing, other than a cool haircut. At least Losman had one pretty good year. Maybin was like throwing the pick straight into the toilet
  15. I'm really disappointed this design doesn't involve a massage table
  16. Is Belichick even that good at drafting guys? They've picked more than their fair share of duds. People treat them like geniuses for taking Brady when everyone else passed on him but NE passed on him 5 times.
  17. It always seemed to me like EJ would 'push' the ball towards his receiver, almost as though he were throwing a dart. I saw every game he played but remember very little about the guy. His game against the Panthers was great, and at the end I was leaping up and down like a lunatic, but there wasn't much else that got me excited about him. And as a guy to watch he was just meh. Like how there are certain films you don't like or dislike, you just watch em and then forget about them. That was EJ to me. I preferred watching JP Losman to him. At least JP had that great deep ball he could unleash. That's what I love about Allen. I'm not blind to his limitations so far, but holy ***** is he amazing to watch
  18. Urgh, that will be awful to see. You'd think with all of today's technology they'd be able to cgi a crowd in there. Actually, now that I think about it, why not make it fun and not only cgi a crowd in but every now and then, after a big play, zoom in on one of the cgi crowd members, then cut to a live shot of said fan celebrating on their sofa at home, with name and location info coming up on the screen. That would make it more interactive and add some fun to a very frustrating and depressing situation. Can you tell I've had a few drinks?
  19. I'm convinced Davis' actions broke the Flutie Curse
  20. I liked him years ago but now he seems bored. I'd sort of gotten used to analysts being crap, then Romo came along and made it even more noticeable how bad guys like Gannon and Fouts are.
