  1. Rams are going to feel pressure on this next drive to score a TD. Watch for Goff to force something
  2. ha. Goff doesn't know what to do when he doesn't have his coach telling him what to do pre snap
  3. To me, scoring is more exciting when the offences have to work extra hard to reach the end zone. Football used to be the ultimate game of cat and mouse. When people talked about it being like chess, they were right. Now it's more like checkers.
  4. Seeing what he's done in NE, the player that sprang to mind first was Chris Hogan
  5. Have to say, if Allen doesn't pan out and ends up being another dud ala Losman or EJ, I'll not only be really disappointed but also really surprised. Thinking back to how I felt about guys like JP and EJ, I think the most I ever thought with them was that they could be decent QBs who might start for a number of seasons. As we've said before, it's the eyeball test. Allen just has something about him. It's not just his play on the field (because God knows he made enough mistakes as a rookie), but his attitude off it, how he looks on the sideline, how he reacts after a big play, how he seems able to shake off a bad play and come right back on the next drive and do something really good. I was reading the report today about him saying he believes the Bills are building something special and even though history tells me to be cautious, I can't help but feel the same way. Can't wait for FA and the draft.
  6. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccccccccccccccccceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Instantly makes every player on the line better. Well, every player on the whole defense better for that matter. On offense I think Moulds is a good call. However I'm going to try and be different and name a player I was thinking about a few days ago because I how much I just loved the way he played... Fred Jackson. I want more of those stiff arms
  7. I think kiper gets too much bashing. He does know his stuff, and really it's difficult to get a mock even close to correct as if one team makes an unexpected pick or you get a few trades then it just throws everything up in the air. He's wrong about a lot of players but he's right about a lot of them too. I really enjoy the podcast he does when it's approaching draft time. On the subject of the Bills picking D. I want to see offense too, but if the top is loaded with great D prospects I haven't got a problem with that, if they then stick with offense until the later rounds. If the top O-line prospect is there at 9 then I'd like to see them take him. This regime has proved it can find great D talent in the later rounds so I trust they can find a couple of decent prospects there.
  8. The stars may be aligning! The Redskins are the kind of idiotic franchise that would give up WAY too much to move up. A move to 15 and their second rounder and I would blow my load.
  9. I just want to see him lose so badly that he starts crying, or get hit so hard that he sh#ts himself
  10. I like these little moves Beane is making. Obviously this is just depth, but it's one less thing he needs to go after in FA or the later rounds of the draft. He's getting his ducks in a row. If he re-signed Philips I'll be really pleased and all set for the start of FA
  11. Excellent move by Beane. He's worth his pay in leadership alone, especially after losing Kyle to retirement. Just looked at this on the NFL site and, in case it's not been posted elsewhere in this thread, his stats over the last 3 seasons are: 35 starts, 223 tackles, 22 sacks, 16 passes defended, 8 FF and 3 INTS (this obviously includes the Pro Bowl in 2016). Not too shabby.
  12. That's annoying. Don't like him but he's a good DC
  13. Beane looks like a pimp in that pic. If he needs to tempt free agents with something more than money, I'm good with that.
  14. Don't know him or anything about him, so I'll read the opinions here and side with the majority.
  15. I like it. My immediate thought? "Bobby's a good name". It makes me think of Patrick Duffy in Dallas. He was a good guy. Smart, trustworthy, always stood up to JR, and even managed to bring himself back to life. I never met a Bobby in my whole life who I didn't like. Count me in.
  16. I appreciate the original post because it showed a lot of research and thought, but I do wonder why people get so annoyed by the whole "Josh is inaccurate" rhetoric. Who really gives a *****? The only thing that matters is whether you're excited about the immediate future of the franchise because, God knows, there have been plenty of offseasons since the turn of the millennium when I've had little to no interest in what this team does. When Tyrod was QB there were plenty in the media who were constantly singing his praises but that didn't make a bit of difference to the way I perceived him or how I viewed the hopes of the team with him at the helm. Now that Allen is the QB I'm frothing at the mouth to get the offseason started (just need to get these pesky three games out the way first - I refuse to count the Pro Bowl as a game). So what if the media ***** on Allen? As I just said, they're the same media who said we were crazy about letting Tyrod go, so that pretty much discounts their opinion immediately. It also shows that they form their opinions almost entirely from box scores and three minute highlights of games.
  17. No it won't, he's had an amazing year, but there will be people who will call him a choker or something.
  18. Oh, and one other thing, if Mahomes ends up having a terrible game next week, I guarantee there will be people who fall off the bandwagon and go completely OTT the other way, exactly the same as they did when Luck suddenly became overrated at the weekend
  19. Christ, I really, really, really hope Allen ends up being great. Not just for the obvious reasons but also so we don't get another ten years of this Mahomes crap
