  2. Probably taking the last train to Clarksville. And I don't know if he's ever coming home.
  3. and if so, can Tommy Boyce be far behind?
  4. It's the Laffer Curve of concession pricing.
  5. I think it means he can run 35 yards in 45 minutes, which impresses me greatly since I can't.
  6. agree It's the best sports writing since SI was in its heyday. I hate paying subscriptions as much as anybody but this one is worth it.
  7. Do you think we can get the mods to pin this topic? 🤪
  8. According to their web site, "The new taproom will continue to be a premier place for Buffalo sports fans to come and support their teams!" https://taprooms.stbcbeer.com/southern-tier-brewery-buffalo-72235d6a76d8
  9. He should go back to fronting for the Beach Boys.
  10. No, that's silly. On the second 2-pointer he called a very makable play that should be successful a large percentage of the time with good execution. On the first one he called a low-percentage play that even first-teamers have trouble executing in mid-season.
  11. Raise your hand if you knew they couldn't execute it. 🤚 That's a tough play with the 1s out there. With the 3s out there he should have called a play he thought they might be able to execute. Especially when Sean made it clear (by going for 2) that he was playing for the win.
  12. OMG, didn't you ever study history in school? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heidi_Game
  13. My favorite Rob Ray moment was when he got caught in the middle of a near fistfight between Lindy and the Ottawa coach:
  14. No mention of Ken Dorsey. He's a rookie too. I thought the play selection for the first two-point conversion was abysmal. And as for Steve Tasker, I realize that I've liked him on TV all these years because of how much I loved watching him play. Actually, he's really terrible on TV.
  15. Hey - nothing wrong with Cincinnati! GO BEARCATS! Yeh but they hired REX RYAN as their coach! We never did anything that stupid!
  16. tailgating PRE-season. It gives you an opportunity to try out some recipes that might not make it to the regular season.
  17. "Bringing 716 to the 617"
  18. I guess it's very difficult to communicate irony or sarcasm in a post
  19. Buffalo has a very nice art gallery of its own, with works by Van Gogh, Cezanne, Rodin, Monet among many others. https://www.albrightknox.org/ EDIT: Whoops, closed for construction. If you want to see the Rockpile, just watch The Natural. The stadium scenes were filmed there.
  20. The Bills played a couple of preseason games at Holleder Stadium in Rochester back in the 1960s. But it's been torn down and now it's an industrial park. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/lifestyle/2013/11/30/whatever-happened-to-holleder-stadium/3773223/ More seriously, Buffalo is the best located place for a Hall of Fame tour, all within 4 hours of Buffalo by car: Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland Pro football HOF in Canton, OH Hockey HOF in Toronto Baseball HOF in Cooperstown Cleveland and Canton are very close to each other. Leave enough time for each though; we spent 5+ hours at each of them. Toronto is about a 90 minute drive from Buffalo.
  21. I also heard it on the radio. I remember where I was sitting.
