  1. Hey - nothing wrong with Cincinnati! GO BEARCATS! Yeh but they hired REX RYAN as their coach! We never did anything that stupid!
  2. tailgating PRE-season. It gives you an opportunity to try out some recipes that might not make it to the regular season.
  3. "Bringing 716 to the 617"
  4. I guess it's very difficult to communicate irony or sarcasm in a post
  5. Buffalo has a very nice art gallery of its own, with works by Van Gogh, Cezanne, Rodin, Monet among many others. https://www.albrightknox.org/ EDIT: Whoops, closed for construction. If you want to see the Rockpile, just watch The Natural. The stadium scenes were filmed there.
  6. The Bills played a couple of preseason games at Holleder Stadium in Rochester back in the 1960s. But it's been torn down and now it's an industrial park. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/lifestyle/2013/11/30/whatever-happened-to-holleder-stadium/3773223/ More seriously, Buffalo is the best located place for a Hall of Fame tour, all within 4 hours of Buffalo by car: Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland Pro football HOF in Canton, OH Hockey HOF in Toronto Baseball HOF in Cooperstown Cleveland and Canton are very close to each other. Leave enough time for each though; we spent 5+ hours at each of them. Toronto is about a 90 minute drive from Buffalo.
  7. I also heard it on the radio. I remember where I was sitting.
  8. You think the Curse started in 2000? You apparently missed the 1970s and 4 or so Superbowls.
  9. Is Brock Osweiler part of this deal? Brownies could set a record for the most cash paid to quarterbacks who don't take a single snap all season
  10. or as a football player "Pile-on"? Really? And using "RJ" for anything other than the Sabres is blasphemy.
  11. Where's Arthur Moats when we really need him?
  12. Revisionist history. It was enacted in 1993 to keep the QB from getting hit. I remember it.
  13. The kneel down has never struck me as one of football's glaring problems screaming for a solution. However, when it comes to rule changes that ruined the game, the worst-ever may be the "tackle box" rule. I don't know why they ever made this rule except to give a competitive advantage to the offense. I say intentional grounding is intentional grounding. Wow, I've kept that inside for a long time. What a relief!
  14. I ended my college career on my back, not because of any injury. Melanie.
  15. Maybe the Bills front office saw something that we didn't about fan-fave Fitzmagic. What's your take? Where does he land?
  16. He'd never lay a glove on Fred Jackson
  17. Here in Israel, cable TV became widely available in the early 90s just as the Bills were playing in the superbowl every year. Israelis were unfamiliar with American football before then (the superbowl was televised for the first time during the Gulf War - Wide Right) so people who became familiar with the game as it began to be televised here thought that the Bills were a dynasty like the 60s Packers, the Yankees or Manchester United. I remember an ad campaign for one of the cable TV companies, with billboards everywhere, showing a closeup action shot of Jim Kelly. By now American football games are a staple of cable sports here, so I guess the Bills track record in the intervening years has dampened the Bills enthusiasm pretty much. But my friends who follow sports all know about Josh and the New Bills, and they often congratulate me after an important win. BTW 1PM games are Sunday 8PM prime time games for us, given the time difference.
  18. Perhaps the high point of Chandler's career: The Bare Facts Are He's A Star
  19. Bring back Bobby Chandler!
  20. I, for one, would be happy never to hear another word about JD McKissic
  21. Terrence McGee Stephon Gilmore
