So far total silence from the Bills and the NFL on this. Haven't seen this discussed anywhere else... I thought McD's use of timeouts at the end of the fourth quarter was curious. I understand the theory: Minn was deep in our territory and had a good chance of scoring a touchdown, so using our timeouts ensures that there will be time left on the clock when we get the ball back. But Minn was down to one timeout and was trailing by 4 meaning a FG wouldn't have been enough. If you trust your defense to make a stop (that's a whole other discussion I realize), aren't you better off forcing them to use up the clock trying to score? It also forces them to be one dimensional and throw the ball instead of having their entire playbook available deep in the red zone.
