  1. Maybe he's good friends with Laviska Shenault, Jr. and Beane wants to get some advance info on him
  2. They should have replaced him with ScottLaw or Mr. WEO.
  3. "If you were Lamar Jackson, I'd feel much better about our chances this year."
  4. Well, we can officially rule the Bills out in the Gerald McCoy sweepstakes: DT McCoy targeting contender: 'I want to win' http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/26815384/want-win
  5. Then, you don't know this fanbase very well. Last year, Howard Simon posted an article around October/November where he said "we need to seriously start talking about Tyree Jackson if Allen doesn't show improvement down the stretch." That's a long-time member of the local media who openly stated that he was willing to give up on Allen after 1 year (granted, Howard hated the Allen pick and went so far as to say that he "didn't want to talk about it" on the morning after last year's draft). One interception from Allen in pre-season will be enough to have fans and media going "oh, boy. who are the top QBs coming out in 2020?"
  6. Doesn't matter. Fans will point to him coming off the bench to lead Alabama to a title and his stats from last season (43 TDs, 6 INTs) as justification for tanking for him.
  7. If Allen struggles in camp and pre-season, you can bet that there will be a rallying cry from the fans and local media (especially Howard Simon) for the Bills to "Tank for Tua."
  8. Beane: Rick, Tyler Kroft just broke his foot in practice and we need to add another tight end. Now, I understand that you've indicated that Kyle Rudolph might be available for a trade. What compensation are you looking for? Rick Spielman: Give me your 2nd round pick in 2020 and you've got a deal. Beane: That seems a bit high. Spielman: Take it or leave it. Not sure if you've checked the news, but the Patriots have reached out to us about Kyle. Beane: You've got a deal! A 2020 2nd it is. Spielman: Care to throw in a mid-round pick as well? Maybe a 5th? Beane: Agree to that as well. We can't let him go to New England. Thanks, Rick.
  9. I would think that, at this point in his career, he wants a ring. To get that, he'll probably sign with New England, for the vet minimum.
  10. Shawn Nelson was the best pick they made? That's some comedy there, my friends.
  11. I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord. He who believes in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
  12. Who's "we?" Doug Whaley and Rex Ryan (paragons of personnel management) moved on from Lee Smith, not Beane and McDermott. Now, if Beane had released him in 2017 and are now bringing him back, then I'd be concerned.
  13. Beane didn't want to give up a 2020 4th, as part of a package to trade back into the 1st for Cody Ford. Why would he want to trade a 2nd AND a 4th for an overhyped DE who wants to be paid based on that hype?
  14. In a video showing a behind the scenes look in the draft war room, it showed that they would have had to give up a 2020 4th, as part of a package to move back into the 1st for Cody Ford and Beane wouldn't do it. That just shows you how he values future picks, which means that it's highly unlikely that he makes a trade for Clowney.
  15. I don't understand this fanbase's obsession with wanting to trade away what could be high future picks for a guy who they remember from an epic highlight reel tackle in a bowl game from 6 years ago, but hasn't done squat in the NFL.
  16. Especially considering that next year's draft will have DEs Chase Young, AJ Epenesa, Nick Coe, Curtis Weaver and Terrell Lewis.
