Let's play "what if" Let's say the Bills trade picks 9 and 40 to Seattle for Clark and Seattle takes Montez Sweat at 9. What if Sweat goes on to record 11 or 13 sacks and is a front runner or DROY, while Clark struggles mightily here and has fewer than 5 sacks by Thanksgiving and he was given a deal in excess of what Demarcus Lawrence got? Would you still support the move, or would you be calling for Beane to be fired?

You don't know that. Injuries and bad defense could result in a 5-11/4-12 season, which means handing the Jets a top 5 pick in 2020 that could yield them Trey Smith, Jerry Jeudy, Derrick Brown or AJ Epenesa. Are you saying that you could accept any of those outcomes?

I hope Beane doesn't try to move up to the 3rd spot. That would mean having to give a division rival a 2020 1st and possibly a 2019 2nd.

I'm going to say something for Metcalf that is similar to what I said in the Brian Burns thread: If Metcalf is the pick at 9, he'd better have AT LEAST 1,000 receiving yards and AT LEAST 15 TDs by the end of the season to justify his selection.

If Oliver, Sweat, Gary and Taylor are gone, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they go with Jonah. If they don't, then perhaps Daboll knows something about him that we don't (i.e. that he's more of a guard/RT prospect than an elite LT)?
