  1. If Beane is dumb enough to take Burns at 9, he'd better put up 30 sacks and 200+ tackles (75 to 100 of those for a loss) this season.
  2. I believe the one thing that must be kept in mind, regarding Rashan Gary, is how Don Brown used him in that defense. I always thought that Gary would have made a better DT than a DE. Granted, he wasn't horrible as a DE, but his size and weight just seemed more ideal for a DT.
  3. This is courtesy of Reed83HOF from a little while ago in this same thread. Everything he says is spot on. If you disagree with any of these points, take it up with him. "We were #26 in sacks and 27 in yards lost on sacks. We were #17 in rushing D and 23 in rushing yards/attempt We gave up the 8th most rushing TDs and 1st downs by rushing We were #1 in the fewest 1st downs by passing and in passing yards given up (minus sack yardage) We were #8 in INTs We are #9 in % of drives ending in a TO We are not the 85 bears and have lots of room to improve on our Defense. We survive on creating turnovers and having a good secondary"
  4. You mean the same Patrick Mahomes that had the following players on his defense that combined for over 40 sacks last season: - Dee Ford - Justin Houston - Chris Jones - Allen Bailey
  5. What good will it to do to have DK Metcalf (or TJ Hockenson) on the roster, if he and Allen are constantly sitting on the sidelines, because the defense can't get off the field?
  6. 1.) The run defense was not fine. Did you watch the Colts game where Marlon Mack ran wild, or the Jags game where Fournette gashed the defense, until he lost his mind and got ejected? 2.) So, you want them to wait until the 5th to 7th round to pick up some "project" DE that they hope can turn into the next Khalil Mack? Who might that player be, if I may ask?
  7. Kahale Warring (6'5", 252) or Jace Sternberger (6'4" 251) could be options between the 3rd and the 5th. They've had a private visit with Sternberger.
  8. Please tell me your plans for replacing Kyle and finding someone to rush the QB opposite Hughes.
  9. So, which of these scenarios would you prefer: They take Metcalf at 9 and then took Jaylon Ferguson in the 2nd, with the hope that he turns into the next Khalil Mack? Or, they take Metcalf at 9 and then give away picks for either Frank Clark or Clowney, while paying them an absurd contract that EXCEEDS what the Cowboys gave Demarcus Lawrence?
  10. I just don't understand why people think that having TJ Hockenson or DK Metcalf on the roster will suddenly mean that they'll score 40+ points per game, while they ignore how concerning the pass rush and run defense was last year. What was a major factor in the Pats winning the Super Bowl? Their ability to pressure Jared Goff.
  11. So, you want the Bills to be able to SCORE points, but not be able to stop the OTHER team from scoring (26th in sacks last year, several games where they got gashed by a running back; see Leonard Fournette and Marlon Mack)?
  12. You mean the, "never going to happen/in your dreams" Frank Clark acquisition.
  13. Here is a list of tight ends taken in the 1st round since 2009. How many of these TEs helped their teams win 4 or 5 more games than the previous year? - Brandon Pettigrew - Jermaine Gresham - Tyler Eifert - Eric Ebron - OJ Howard - Evan Engram - Hayden Hurst Did you watch the pass rush, or lack thereof? 26th in sacks.
  14. I want someone to convince me that taking a tight end at 9 will take this team from 6 wins to 11 or 12 wins. That's all.
  15. It happened because Derek Anderson was the QB that night. Having a TE like Hockenson for him to throw to wouldn't have changed the outcome.
  16. It doesn't mean anything. People need to wake up and accept the fact that Frank Clark isn't coming here.
  17. They're not getting Frank Clark and they're not getting Clowney. Full stop. People need to wake up and accept it.
