The only reason the Bills leave western NY inside the next 10 years is ownership. The fans in western NY, southern Ontario and even central NY will continue to support this team. A far second to an ownership crisis would be No cap at all, that would be very tough on the Bills ability to field competetive teams, but we would not be alone.

I really think he hooks up with a playoff caliber team. He will give away the money to play for a "winner" I think most of us will agree, that he wants out. With that said, what is best for the Bills? And EMoulds IMHO is not!

After reading the Buffalo News this morning, I really do not see the benefit in keeping EMoulds. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. But when you consider that if we keep him (present numbers), with all numbers applied we will be $4.7 million under the cap, if we set him free we will be $10 million under the cap, the Bills could get a whole lot done with an addtional $5.3 million in cap space, and most likely bring in a great deal more impact for 2006 and beyond, certainly more impact than EMoulds will offer in 2006 and beyond. I see no "football" reason to keep him. Let him hook up with a team that might make a serious run at XLI. He has been a great Bill, but in light of the money and the fact that he has been a loyal hardworking Bill I just think it makes the most sense to let him go, it would be the right thing for all invovled. Quality D play requires that D-linemen to controll the line of scrimmage, one d-lineman controlling two O line players, thus freeing up the guys who are suposed to make the majority of the tackles, the LB corp. If the D-line shoots gaps all day, the o-line gets to the LB's, does this sound familar? Last year Sam got in the back field, by shooting the gaps, sure he had a few spectacular plays but for the most part he created a situation in which the LB's were being blocked and could not make the tackles. Sure it benefits a team to have D-linemen who can get in the backfield, especially when a blitz is on, but these up front guys need to allow the LB's to run free, Sam was not good for that.

And their is a big difference between fast and quick......We do not need to know what the 40 time is for any lineman, O or D. Ngata is big and quick, if he is the best choice availble, Marv will pick him....Period!

This is not good news for the likes of the Buffalo Bills. Maybe Ralph knew what he was talking about when he said the future is NOW! 2006 might just have to be the year, because in 2007 and for the forseable future it will be the Redskins, Cowboys, Patriots and Broncos. Oh sure I'm missing a few other money teams but you know what I am saying. The Bills (read Ralph Wilson) do not have the money to compete with the likes of Snyder and Jones. This is the happiest day for the those guys, oh sure they might suck in 2006, but the after that the sky will be the limit. Go Bills in 2006, it might be your last chance. blast away

While he is a great one, I've started to really like Lindell. I think the change at long-snapper has help his game a great deal....And I am just a little suspect of bringing in players that the Patsies are willing to give up on.

You are correct......But in so that the "best" player is almost always from the "O" he ranks right up there....but alas what does it all mean its still 1-AA. Nobody from 1-AA ever became anything....Oh thats right the guy this award is named after ended up being an ok player.
