Vikings Oline coach Phil Rauscher (Twitter speculation)
HamptonBillsfan replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are doing some impressive things in the area of coaching. The addition of a 36 year old O-line coach who is a proponent of the Callahan and old Denver Bronco school of blocking schemes, bodes well for our new OC and an improved running attack to go with Josh's dynamic skill set. Let's plug in some quality inside O-lineman and another between the tackles RB and we'll be extremely hard to defend. -
Flores is flushing his coaching career for this mission to change NFL hiring practices. He thought Bellicek was on the inside of what the Giants were thinking as to the Rooney Rule and who they wanted to hire. Now, Brian is collateral damage in Flores's social justice mission. If you think Bellicek is a conduit for what Brian was thinking than maybe Sean didn't care about Brian going forward.

You're right, I regret regurgitating that nastiness.

In Flores lawsuit, he claims Brian said he was down on Sean, and even if he wasn't offered an HC job, he wanted out. This is according to Nate Mendelssohn, a beat reporter I guess.

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.

He is a winning, no nonsense coach. I think he would be great for a young team like Jax. The problem is he's terrible with the media and he will get up in the faces of his bosses and ownership if he thinks they're not helping him win. Sad situation. -
He burned his bridges up here. The guy got his 1st HC job and he trashes Sean, who gave him the OC job that laid the groundwork. Classless. Brian, every Bills player gave you a sterling endorsement and you stick in Sean's ear.

Great move by Beane. This guy will be a younger, more unpredictable and better suited to the type of offense Josh wants to run. He provides continuity with his understanding of what Brian did well, a coordination with Josh's passing guru Palmer and comfort zone for the best QB in the industry. If you disagree with the hire, ask yourself if the was Rodgers or Brady asking for a coach or a player, what would any team do?

OL coach Bobby Johnson headed to NY, has signed contract

Let him go,he's ordinary. He'll have to get used to bad O-line play, because that's what the G-Men do. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
HamptonBillsfan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
You're right, no reason to be encouraged until you see him change. The only thing is if Beane and Terry/Kim indicate this ultra-concervative style is not working with our personnel, changes could come. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
HamptonBillsfan replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
We know it was one mistake after another. Do we need Sean Payton to explain what we did wrong. Sean McDermott has to sleep with it. Hopefully this scar makes Sean more proactive when the stakes are so high. Belichick, Parcells, Payton all know when you can make a move to improve your chances, take the risk. Bills fans will expect that henceforth. -
With Allen, can the Bills de-emphasize skill positions?
HamptonBillsfan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why not surround our great QB with better skill guys and an improved O-line. As it is ,Josh will find a way, but Sanders and McKenzie must be replaced with speed and end game production. Another good RB would also help. -
Since you insist on calling my assertion "ridiculous " without the courtesy of offering a legitimate reason,I can only infer that you're trying to insult me. Let me tell you,in this my final installment in this tedious back and forth, why it's not ridiculous. Since 1994 when the Bills went to the SB,they've had numerous OCs. 28 years of losing and being the whipping boy of the AFCE. Now we have a team that has some talent, if you don't have quality playcalling, why should anyone expect better results. Dorsey has been at the side of Dabol and has Josh's trust. He should provide continuity, not to mention the skill players all want him. If you prefer a failed OC off the scrap heap, good luck.
-
Did Josh ascend to elite status under Dabol/Dorsey, as opposed to the losing OCs Beane brought before Dabol, who were replaced in short order. You want to diminish what Dabol/Dorsey accomplished, where we we should have advanced to a home Championship game if not for Sean's epic brain freeze the last 13 seconds, go right ahead. Don't prioritize what makes Josh comfortable with a playcaller. Taking any leftover failed OC will be fine. Some of the people just want to be arbitrary.
-
What's at play? This is just fodder on this board. You don’t know that Dabol has reached out to Dorsey. My point to all the conspiracy theorists is Josh wants this guy so Beane has a responsibility to the best player on our team to get him. Why are you deluding yourself into accepting his departure as no big deal. Accept whatever happens, accept impotence. Accept mediocrity.
-
It may not result in killing our chances, but wouldn't you want to make the most important player on your team and arguably the best QB in football, comfortable with his playcaller if you want to maximize our chances. If Josh has expressed his preference on an OC, Beane has a mandate to get him. It's not as if there's multiple teams vying for him It's the Giants, the worst team in football by most accounts.
