Do you guys like the new sky cam?

I have 20/20...its more that it takes you out of the game. Like watching all 22...see more but feel less immersion. -

I hate it as well. Too far away. It seems like change for the sake of change, which in itself is truly stupid. -
Gameday Thread Bills at Detroit 2nd Half
Johnnycage46 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Power trip or a nervous breakdown perhaps by a certain on duty person on the boards. -
Nah. It's not that. Schopp has admitted he loves baseball and hockey more than football and in fact is more lenient on the Sabres who have been just as if not more dismal than the Bills in recent years. I think everything with Schopp's hate for the Bills has a personal angle. The benching and ultimate trade of Tyrod, Josh Allen's high school tweets, etc.

Even when people agree with him he still sometimes bashes them. Almost like he literally cannot ever be happy. As do I. It has been kicked around here before where his bias comes from and I think most people agree.

My wife and I have a ~4 year old and a 2 month old and this AM was one for the ages...in the midst of the turmoil I literally yelled to my wife "imagine if we had had twins and had to deal with either 2 babies at once or 2 4-year olds at once!". This news puts things into perspective for me lol Not that he will have time for THAT ever again.

This is a perfect write-up to express what I have been thinking. Thank you for your eloquent articulation.

They Might...Just Might, Be Really Good
Johnnycage46 replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, if a QB is missing wide-open receivers by a good deal, regardless of "scheme" that wouldn't worry you? If a defense, regardless of "scheme", was getting gashed for 10+ yard runs routinely, that wouldn't worry you? If the team just appeared slow, out of sync, and out of position, that would't bother you? We all know that pre-season "doesn't mean anything"...but there ARE elements of pre-season that mean quite a bit...so much so that players get cut base on pre-season play. Yes, a team's pre-season win-loss record doesn't seem to have a correlation to win-loss record in the regular season, but this Bills team does seem to be deeper and more talented than recent years. Maybe just enjoy it? -

Not saying they will be amazing...but again all those folks saying "it's just the preseason"...I am wondering if the tune would change if Allen was wildly inaccurate, the D was porous, and the coaching staff seemed lost? My guess is the whole mantra of "it's just the preseason" would evaporate and would be replaced with doom and gloom. -
Lol. Yeaaahhhhhh

hoping we go 4 and 0 in the preseason

I will say this...winning pre-season games may not matter...but, seeing depth across your roster that results in wins can possibly be an indicator that the team is strong. Again, not because of the wins, but because depth does matter. -
Defense was lights out against Colts
Johnnycage46 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's funny that many say "pre-season doesn't matter" when anyone want to praise the team they root for (oh, the horror!)...but I am willing to bet if the team was completely incompetent in the pre-season that performance would suddenly be "admissible in court". I guess pre-season only "matters" if it is negative against the team we all root for. There are about 5 prominent posters on this board that seem to actually hate the Bills but act as though they are just "speaking the truth". Pretty disappointing. -
Don't go...

I think that must be what I saw. Either way, I am pumped. New Tool Album and the Bills in the Super Bowl all in the span of 6 months (please don't take this fantasy from me)
-
I will say that I didn't get that awesome Tool crescendo at the end like with songs like Aenima, Lateralus, Schism, Vicarious, Rosetta Stoned, etc. but the tune was so melodic that it hooked me in. Whats crazy is how it soooo sounded like a Tool song lol. They have such a unique sound. I just hope the whole album delivers. If you haven't heard it yet, check out "invincible"...there are a couple of "good" quality recordings from some live shows from a couple of months ago. It's a pretty good song. I heard 7 songs with 2 transitions at like 78 minutes (I thought I read an article with guitarist Adam Jones that said that)...but I will be thrilled if its 13 songs as I've already heard Fear Inoculum studio version and Invincible and Descending live version. The more the better!

I hear you. I listened on my phone while getting ready for work this AM and was thinking "huh...this is interesting"...then listened on the way to work in the car and thought "ok...this is pretty cool". I listened to it at work with headphones and that was by far the best experience. I remember when Lateralus came out I had to listen to the whole album 3 or 4 times before I could totally buy in. To me Tool's music is usually so non-catchy that it takes me several listens before I get the "ah-ha" moment. Give this track another couple of listens with headphones and I hope it resonates with you like it did me. I am so pumped for August 30th!

This song put all of my fears to rest considering a 13-year hiatus from releasing new albums. I had listed to "Invincible" on youtube from live shows (the song sounds amazing) but hearing this studio-produced track made my day. Love it.

New song out today. Titular "Fear Inoculum". Listened to it about 15 times. I friggin love this band.

How many Bills games have you been to
Johnnycage46 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think about 20 games...I was stationed in Buffalo in the Coast Guard (by choice so I could attend Bills games lol) 2000 to 2003 and went to most my games then. -
Your first Bills game
Johnnycage46 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Year: 1992 Against: @ New England (I grew up in Maine so we were only about 4 hours from Patriots stadium) Score: 41-7 Bills What you remember: I remember, almost nothing lol (I was 13 and it's been a few years since that game). I remember that beating the Patriots back then was like the Patriots beating the Bills now
