Bills Training Camp Day 6 - 7/31
Johnnycage46 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was very fast and hard to tell what happened but we saw Allen go down and a lot of people grumbled lol. It was a clean play in a game, but not a good idea in TC to put your QB on his butt kinda thing. -

I was there today and saw this happen. Was scary to see but Allen popped right up. -

That's a pretty good listen. The one dude, Danger, is a Bears fan but he and Bataglia are both pretty fair on the Bill's. Not too far in either direction (homer vs. hater). -
Just out of curiosity...does number 1 defense mean number 1 scoring defense (which is really the best measure of a defense)...or yardage? I think the Bills will definitely be near top 5 in lowest D yardage but they have given up some blowouts here and there so not sure if top 5 scoring defense is in the cards. Although I really hope the Bills are top 3-5 in both scoring and yardage defense.

I think more importantly, and to your original point, he had loads of talent but no drive (regardless of if he was a pothead, he certainly lacked motor). Kyle Williams is a perfect example of a "lunch pail" guy with above-average but not necessarily elite talent that had a long and successful career. Of course talent matters, but talent without drive is nothing. -

As someone with a child with disabilities this really hits home. Great (but sad) read! -
Really? Do the Bills have multiple 0-16 seasons wracked up? No? Oh, well I guess then they ARE a lock to beat SOMEONE. Seriously though, do you actually like the Bills or is this like some sort of "I lost a bet and I have to hang out on another NFL team's board and post regularly" kinda thing? I just don't get why someone would be so active on a team's board when that someone clearly doesn't seem to even like the team in question.

ESPN's "Future Power Rankings"
Johnnycage46 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair enough. Can't argue with that. But, hey, this might be the year (I know, I know, it's basically the Bills' fan's mantra, but it could be lol) -

Lol. I guess nerds CAN be smart. But it's not a rule. I guess it's more that you think (or seem to think, based on your post) that those that disagree with ESPN are nerds. Let's just say that ESPN has a certain political affiliation that has been well documented and anyone who doesn't agree with them is usually vilified. So, like, ya know, maybe people should stop doing that -

Just out of curiosity...and I truly mean this...are you a Bills fan? Or a passer-by fan of another team? Either way it's totally cool but I honestly haven't been able to get a read on whether you are a Bills fan or someone who just posts here due to proximity to the team or something (i.e. living in the area maybe). Again, no issues either way but just trying to get a sense for whether you are a Bills fan or a casual passer by. Calling people nerds seems a little harsh. Just because someone doesnt agree with your take doesnt mean they are a nerd (or insert other negative attack). Please try to be more respectful to other posters. -

I did not know all of that...but that is hilarious. Glad Marv implemented it but kinda funny he wanted it out and then realized, oh we can do it too! -
This actually makes me like him more (can't believe I am saying that). Other players could learn something from him regarding being a "present" father.

Posible Disasters, off season & future

I agree to a point on the episode count and how much they had to cram in. My biggest complaint....SPOILERS....is dealing with the night king mid-season and then dealing with King's Landing. I think the night king should have been the last enemy. A virtually unstoppable undead army seems more of a threat than a dragon (considering how effortlessly the boats/giant crossbows killed the one dragon a couple of episodes ago).
