  1. Here's the dirty little secret. In Buffalo it's 32 and snowy. In New Orleans it's going to be partly cloudy, high of 66, with an 80% chance of playoffs. Is that disparity partly the Bills' own fault? Yes, but not totally. According to Wawrow the Bills made a strong offer but the fact is, we are fans if a team that has a hard time landing free agents. Blame the Bills as much as you want, but it takes two to make a deal. If you're going to blame the Bills for the shoveling you have to do today, I don't know what to tell you.
  2. Brees restructure? That sounds out of character for him.
  3. So if the Rams sign Byrd, will you recant your original post and reassert that you DO in fact know better than Whaley? This is a tiring day on TSW.
  4. Maybe because the Bills like Dustin Hopkins - he has a stronger leg and is younger and cheaper.
  5. Is Whitner capable of just keeping his mouth closed? How many guys are out broadcasting where they'll sign before the deal is even done?
  6. I don't see Whaley going after him. I think the Bills like guys on the rise, not those heading downhill.
  7. Everything you say is true, but given those facts, I think most Bills fans are guilty of overrating themselves. Let's face it - we're extremely hungry for wins now, but back then we were spoiled. To me it's laughable that people didn't show up for a playoff game when their team was coming off two straight Super Bowls, regardless of what happened the week before or who was hurt. Those are weak excuses.
  8. This just in - looks like the old school won the power struggle (if there was one). One of the Bills Assistant trainers won a league-wide award and in the BB.com article, Marrone's quote goes out of his way to praise Bud Carpenter. "Greg McMillen named AFC Asst. Athletic Trainer of the Year" Marrone quote: “Greg is certainly deserving of the accolade. He is a member of one of the finest athletic training staffs, that does a terrific job with our players under the direction of Bud Carpenter, that I have been a part of during my football career.”
  9. Not sure how they'd know which seats are available until the payments come back. Unless you mean those not already purchased by STH's?
  10. In his interview with John Murphy last night, Aaron Williams said Byrd would "love" to be back with the Bills. I think Jairus is just separating his business considerations from his personal feelings.
  11. Sunglasses at night games, in the Canadian "subdivision".
  12. Any response to the Bills putting the Toronto series on a one year hiatus and the Aaron Williams extension? Does this fit into the "same old Bills" paradigm?
  13. My main reaction after processing this, is fear. How can an NFL team in Buffalo be sustainable long term with ticket prices on that scale?
  14. Maybe, maybe not. I do worry when I read posts from people bragging about only watching from home. I'm sure every fanbase has their share of fans with an "entitlement mentality", but the Bills can't afford many of those.
  15. Great move - extend before he hits peak market value.
  16. So is this a segregation-type thing? Like the WW II Japanese internment camps?
  17. Its clear from reading many of the posts here...many are all about what the team can do for them. They are not supporters, only takers. Pretty much a microcosm of society at large. "Ask not what you can do for your team, but what your team can do for you." Sad but true.
  18. Wait, aren't all the Bills decisions about money?
  19. Oh, it'll change all right. It might change so much that all of your Sunday afternoons are freed up.
  20. It's what he has said, and what Whaley has said Schwartz told him, just in the last day or so.
  21. Do you expect him to weep in sadness about Buffalo and weaken his negotiating position? He's playing the game.
  22. Brilliant! You figured it out! According to your logic the Mario deal would have to trigger 10,000 new season ticket holders to keep seats for 10 years just to break even. You so smart!
  23. Would you disagree that the Bills' business success is a precondition to their success on the field? If not, then why vilify the man who has greatly improved the Bills' business performance? If you choose to not believe Whaley when he said they made a substantial offer, then your mind is simply not open to anything contrary to your entrenched opinion.
  24. Yes, this is how it will go under Brandon. It will continue to go this way until we can find management who can compel players to sign what is put in front of them. Sadly, until that day, it will take two to make agreements.
