  1. Interesting statement from Roger Goodell on the future of the Bills: “We all know they have a lease. We know the terms of [that] lease, and we also know we have to find a long-term solution to keep the Bills there [in Buffalo], and that’s what we’ll continue to work to do, but that’s not our priority right now in the next few days.” Link
  2. Sir, with all due respect, your postings lately are simply brutal. Every one is entitled to an opinion, but you consistently try to steer the conversation in a negative direction. On every topic you weigh in on. I'm glad your tactics aren't effective. I truly hope you can find some joy in your life. Back onto the main topic - I would like to know if there's a way for out-of-towners to express their condolences.
  3. RIP and thank you for your loyalty to Buffalo. It will be interesting to see how this now unfolds.
  4. All kidding aside, I think it's going to be "The future is now". The stadium renovation guide shows some simulations of the new scoreboard, and that statement is shown to the right of the main video board. That's probably not coincidence.
  5. How many PSLs can we put you down for?
  6. The club seats at RWS involve PSLs that run about $1,500 per seat per year. I'm curious to know how everyone would feel about paying that, or more, per seat in a new stadium, just for the right to buy season tickets? Would season ticket numbers decline by half, or more? I just wonder how this thing will be funded.
  7. Estro, what's the source of your info on the workout bonuses? That's info I haven't seen previously.
  8. Excellent, thought-provoking thread. Like BigBuff, my first reaction was to question the WRs. Maybe Hilliard's departure was triggered by perceived lapses in getting across concepts related to shedding coverage or route running that cause the offense to sputter too many times and to cause Stevie's productivity to plummet. Of course, it could be the QBs too.
  9. I understand your point of view, but I think it's highly unlikely (and unwise, honestly) for WNY to build a football-only venue. Just ain't gonna happen. Any new stadium must contribute to the economy in multiple ways, far beyond anything that a football-only venue can.
  10. Yes, that was Greg Gabriel, formerly of the Bears front office and a man who had a hand in drafting Williams as a first round pick. Gabriel sounded convinced that he's a very smart guy who can play. Right or wrong, Gabriel certainly is strong in his convictions about Williams.
  11. How was Johnson a jerk?
  12. Can't say I agree with extrapolating Searcy's future contributions from his past stats when in reality he's been on the bench a fair amount, serving as Byrd's backup.
  13. Nice write up but when you refer to Levitre as an All-Pro guard, it reads like revisionist history.
  14. How about a decent RT in round 2? Any good ones that might be available?
  15. From what I understand, Chris Williams is well suited to the screen game and we know that the Bills and Spiller had success with screens as well using Cordy and Wood. Maybe the Williams acquisition signals that they'll go back to the screen game and that Spiller will have more success in that type of offense.
  16. Hazed and Amuzed Hazed and Amuzed Posted Today, 08:26 PM The Bills have made it clear that they understand where their weakness lies. ST and Run D were both atrocious and they are attacking those deficiencies right now. If they concentrate on receiving threats and OL help in the draft it shows that unlike previous regimes they aren't clueless to what everyone else is seeing. Loving this approach they're taking. ///////////////////////////////// I agree with this 100%. I like the strategy of going for value hole-plugging in free agency, and saving flash for the draft. I think for Buffalo that strategy is smart.
  17. I think Pepper Johnson knows far more about Spikes' pros and cons than Smerlas does. The fact that he's in indicates that at the end of the day he's considered to be a net gain for the Bills.
  18. As a regular reader of this board, your reasonableness confuses me.
  19. The Bills owe us exactly nothing. The franchise is private property and can be handled any way the owner sees fit. If enough customers don't like the product and choose not to buy it in sufficient quantities, the owner can and should manage it in a way that better responds to the laws of supply and demand, i.e., move it to a more receptive/lucrative market. The fact that the Bills owner has chosen to stay put and not move his property to a market where he can improve profits is beneficent on his part, IMO. As I recall, both the Bruce Smith and Mario Williams contracts were the richest defensive contracts given out at the time they were executed. Odd how those contracts + the owner staying in Buffalo are interpreted by some "loyal fans" as the owner not caring about the quality of the product. An odd display of loyalty that is.
  20. No, he wasn't on Canadian soil when he signed.
  21. Is that because you're projecting that SJ or Chandler will hold on to the ball? My recollection is that those fumbles were the reason we lost the Falcons game.
