Based much on the recent media attention, pundits, and fans in general, it appears the two QBs who were criticized the most pre-draft are the stars starting to break out of the 2018 draft pack. Of course I'm talking about Josh and Lamar Jackson, and the Bills have one of them. You really don't hear much hype for Baker, Sam, Mason, or the "Other Josh" anymore. The other QBs were supposed to be most pro-ready, and granted Baker had a really good first year. However, the two QBs who clearly have an arrow pointed upward were to the two with the most question marks - Josh and Lamar and they are both getting better. I have really high hope for those two because I love to see people who are constantly picked apart rise above!

Bills-Texans WC on NFLN

Doing great. Re-watched the game several times. Agree with a lot of your observations. Some things went extremely well and others not so well. A lot of missed opportunities and some boneheaded play for sure from a lot of the players (and coaching). Hopefully, re-watching the game film will reignite their desire to get better and hopefully not let the media hype get in their head. They need to go out as a team and earn it. Again, there's a lot of good in that game and bad to learn from. -

Geezus, what a bunch of hypochondriacs some people are; it's just a damn game. They players will re-watch it, learn from it, both good and bad. Saying you can't stomach to watch it makes you look weak and silly. What are you going to do, kick your other dog? SMH -
Depends on your definition of hate. Their is hate in the literal sense of the world, and then there is hate in the sense that numerous posters here that have nothing good to say about Allen as the player (not person) in conjunction with their criticism. In other words, they never have anything good to say about what he may do well or where he is improving. They're like heat-seeking missiles that only show up to CONSTANTLY remind everyone that he is the 24th ranked QB in QBR, but they never have anything positive to contribute about the kid. Their are quite a few posters on this forum who constantly show up in these type threads and on game day to bash the kid. When he screws up in the game, they're all over his a**, but when he is kicking butt it's crickets. So I understand yours and others frustration with people who like Allen a lot who are more inclined to dismiss his faults a little to easily. They're are many of us who are frustrated with those who constantly deride and rail on all his flaws but dismiss his intangibles, leadership, and what he does well. That's the non-literal sense of hate.

Why do we need a WR in the draft?
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to MrSarcasm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Question. Most pundits argue we have a top-5 defense right now, so why do you argue defense? Which position are you looking to draft as a starter on defense that isn’t drafting for depth similar to drafting a WR (ie safety). -
Why do we need a WR in the draft?
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to MrSarcasm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, you presented a question, but did not offer your solution as to what positions you think need attention over a WR. Not saying you don’t have a point, so where would rather allocate those draft picks! -
Josh working on his ‘social distancing’..

You could have just skipped the thread and moved on, but nope, you had to come in and comment in your own true way. Hence the clockwork comment. You’re like a bad music beat on repeat. -
I believe it. First off, not since Starr, Namath, and Stabler (60s and 70s), Alabama QBs have not had success in the NFL. First, this Tua kid, along with most other Alabama QBs, play with surrounding talent that most often far surpasses their opponents, second his throwing motion is elongated and slow compared to other QBs (which he could get away with at the college level), and lastly his injury history. Maybe this kid will be the one Alabama QB to break the drought, but I could see him sliding.

Wrong; he had to spill his resume to put some weight on his opinion as if it has more validity than yours or mine. He is using his background as a coach to validate his "I do have eyes" which comes across as I have more credibility than most posters. Does he have more credibility than Beane and McDermott who made a multi-million dollar investment on a #7 pick?
-
is your resume supposed to give your opinion more weight than others! I know a lot of 4-Star Generals who are dumb as ****. I have eyes too as well as many others here too, and I see a kid who is still tapping into his potential. He wasn’t groomed like all these other prodigy QBs yet he’s outplaying most of them. And for someone like you to say his football IQ is so low is nothing but biased eyes. You don’t work with him, coach him, or even know him. In fact, your bias and thumping of your chest says more about your insecurities than Allen.

NFL GM's want Draft postponed
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...and what if a player were to get sick before your new draft date and it kills his draft stock. Screw that, I want to get drafted (hired in my new profession) as SOON AS POSSIBLE. -
NFL GM's want Draft postponed
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I was a player, I would use this to my advantage. I would have a live skype with a doctor, private skypes with GMs and coaches, put out promotional videos of my character etc. If the draft must go on, I would want to do whatever I could to best position myself and out-promote the other players if possible. Could be a difference in millions. -
In theory it would make sense because they have similar skill sets. However, do you think Cam would just accept that role honestly? You don't see a distraction, overshadowing, and the moment Allen has a sub-par game or even practice, then here comes all the controversy. And then when Newton has a subpart game or practice, put the kid back in. That's a mess Beane and McDermott do not want or need.

I doubt it; Denver liked what they saw from Drew Lock last year. -
Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crazy how everyone doesn’t even touch on his other intangibles that separates him from just a few others. Such as his escapability, toughness, ability to extend plays and pick up first downs. And what about 3rd or 4th and a yard. It’s about as guaranteed as you can get. He’s exciting and brings an element of surprise to the position (both good and bad at times), but it’s fun. Buffalo is getting a lot more national exposure nowadays because how exciting this team is, it’s awesome. And Josh Allen is a big part of that whether you like it (or him) or not! -

Josh Allen "Prove it" Season In Year 3
Lieutenant Aldo Raine replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everybody here knows Josh was drafted as needing to take time to develop; he wasn't even supposed to play his first season. Yet he was thrust in there to learn on the job and led the team to the playoffs in his second year. Now all of a sudden, Season 3 is his make or break season! SMH
