  1. For the money it makes sense. But to say AJM is a better QB is an unknown. I am not that high on AJM as the starter but dont mind him as the back up. SO hopefully we never find out if he is better than Tyrod. However they just passed on AJM for zero picks and $10M less...
  2. Which would be the definition of a bad situation. That it is a question mark.
  3. These claims make no sense. Lets pick one guys worse game and say this guy could have done better. This is pointless but AJM threw for less than 200 yards in 2 of his 3 (66%) starts in 2015. Tyrod threw for less in only 5 of his 13 (38%) starts in 2015.
  4. Primary Roles Players job: Give it your all on the field, be a good teammate, be a positive member in the community Coaches job: Prepare the team to succeed, develop players to reach potential, make player, strategy and game decisions. Front office job: Set the roster including selection of players and contracts. Assessing teams needs and short term and long team strategy of roster. Why do people express hate and blame on Taylor. He did his job. You could argue the coaches did not always put him in the best position to succeed, The front office did not provide the best roster. Or the front office and coaches should not have relied on TT. Those were other people decisions not TT. Blame them, nit the player. I could get it if he was some clown being lazy, getting into trouble or otherwise letting the other guys down. That is 100% not the case with him.
  5. What are you saying then. Clearly the Bills and other NFL teams did not give up on TT early last season. How many millions are spent on scouting and guys still get it wrong. You can watch every second and have every piece of analysis and still get it wrong.
  6. Its called denial. Well some used to say 3 full years as a starter with no competition for his job. Remember the EJ debates...
  7. The results were bad - dont even need to list it out. The eye test was bad - not nearly enough zip on his ball, very deliberate with his throws, lack of presence under pressure. Expectations - the guy was a late round pick. There is no giving up because there was no real expectations in the first place. This is not a former #1 pick. This guy has no similarity to a Manning, Elway, etc. Every guy in a grocery store that used to play college ball could be a Kurt Warner...maybe we should grab 20 ex college QB's out of the game and fill are roster with them so not to give up too early on them.
  8. By all accounts Bills OL was ranked towards the bottom. This is with or without Tyrod. But having a mobile QB did not make the OL look better, but it was helpful in many cases in avoiding sacks.
  9. No - when we signed Dareus they all said those things. And just like this board everyone said they are just haters and dont know jack.
  10. Numbers for a guy like AJM do not mean a lot. If anything they do not support his case though. Rather I suggest watching the film on the guy. You can see some stuff he does better than Tyrod and some stuff he does worse.
  11. Was at one point. He has only had two 100 yard games since 2014...
  12. I think the biggest hole on the offense has to be WR. With Beane saying - "We're very low on money," Beane said Friday. "We could do some lower-level things, but nothing that's going to hit the ticker." What is the plan at WR? Zay Jones and who?
  13. Hoyer and CJ Beathard? Really? Jimmy G was not there until the last 5 or so games. No - he improved and was on the field a lot more. Started twice as many games and his numbers about doubled.
  14. Its not just pff. His numbers have been on a steady decline no matter how you look at it. Hopefully he needs a change to run it around. But DT do seem to be a position with quick declines.
  15. Well thats what the "experts" at ESPN, NFL Network, etc were saying. Obviously no team wanted to give him that.
  16. Hilarious
  17. I could be wrong but Beane is not out there developing QB's. He was in the front office in CAR and is in Buffalo as well. If we are talking about knowing how to select your QB I would argue Beane has never done that. He was not even asst GM yet when they drafted Cam and Cam was the #1 pick.
  18. Some analysis on AJM. I think with AJ we need weapons or its going to be a long season. Really with any QB but especially him or Peterman. Tyrod had the skills to improvise which could compensate for soe of this but not the case with our current QB's. https://www.cover1.net/a-closer-look-at-qb-aj-mccarron/
  19. McBeane is not a real person...
  20. Why should we believe we have the staff to develop a QB? Who on the staff has done this or what examples do we have?
  21. Go watch tape of AJM and Tyrod throws. I think Tyrod actually throws a much better ball than him. It is overblown that Tyrod is not able to throw the ball. I think the issue was 1) Tyrod seemed to hesitate more the past couple years. Was this all on him? Coaching? Lack of WR's and comfort with them? 2) Playcalling - way to predictable and conservative. 3) Weapons? No #1 WR and really not even legit #2, at least healthy ones. Go look at AJM tape. He is not he most accurate guy and does not have a ton of arm strength. I see a lot of N Peterman in him. Without some help from WR/TE's in CInci I think AJM would not even be talked about.
  22. This. Tyrod may not ever have been the long term answer. But he did the best he could and the best he could with the weapons he had. Dont blame Tyrod for the that. Its like he was the Owner, GM and Coach and declared himself the starter because he is the boss. Tyrod did more for this team than many of QB's could have.
