Bengals extend Chase (4 yrs $161mill) AND Higgins (4 yrs $115mill)
Process replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did you not watch the playoffs the year they made the Superbowl? The Defense carried them there. -

Lol the team that went to the Superbowl was the exact opposite of the current team. QB and WRs on rookie deals and a very good defense. -

He's got a much better shot than Joe... -

I may be in the minority (and I am not even convinced I truly believe this) but this is bad team building, IMO. An elite QB shouldn't need a $70M/year WR duo. Should have extended Chase, traded Tee, and spent the money and draft pocks on defense/ o line.- 237 replies

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs
Process replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm trying not to overreact because at the end of the day I really don't care about the regular season. Our division is a joke But the optics are just terrible. Amateur hour at OBD. -

And now Hoecht is at the mic. How bizarre. -
Beane making it sound like Mack didn't want to come back in his press conference

If they didn't know about Ogunjobi, why wouldn't they just not sign him? I get that they came to an agreement, but this is a pretty valid reason to break it -
Wtf? It thought this was a joke when I saw it.

8 picks in the first 5 rounds, and we definitely don't have 8 open roster spots. I agree, I think it's much more likely we trade up this year.

Perfect #3 CB. Love it. CB in rounds 1 or 2 is still a given IMO.

Josh Allen gets record contract extension $330 million
Process replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which makes sense. They are likely close to done with FA. Need a veteran CB but otherwise we have the draft picks to fill the remaining holes. -

This is interesting. Looks like we didn't really free up any cap space this year with the new deal. -
Who knows. I recall a player, cant recall who, mentioning once "no one knows what he's going through" in reference to Elam. Maybe he's been dealing with a lot personally the last few years. McDermott has always got the most out of DBs. Obviously that doesn't mean they couldn't have screwed this one up. But there's probably more going on with him then we know. Regardless, hopefully a fresh start will help him get his career back on track.

And 8 picks in the first 5 rounds. No way 8 rookies make the team. We have more ammo than we need to fill the remaining holes on the roster.
-
We got basically nothing and somehow we still fleeced them
-
CB in round 1 or 2 is looking like a given. Probably add a lower tier guy now or in the summer to compete.
-
Interesting that they've added 3 d lineman ahead of a deep D line draft. Should give strong consideration to cutting both DJ and AJ IMO.

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
Process replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't love it. But a 1 year deal minimizes the risk. So it's fine. I guess we are all set at DE then? We've got 5 guys. Probably would have preferred draft a guy in rounds 1 or 2 over paying Bosa who can't stay healthy. Do we gain any cap space if we cut AJ? -
This is a troll fan account Chandler. Doesn't mean it's not true. But they are guessing.

Cisco, Slayton and Reed are three guys I would have loved for the Bills at the money they got. Oh well.
-
We paid Deonte Harty $5M. Not sure how you let him leave for that.... Doesn't make much sense

This make me like the Palmer signing significantly less https://x.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1899232498074177587?t=5eXttimd115V667C9lfBHQ&s=19

Bills now have an $8M WR, $12M WR, $15M WR and a recent 2nd round pick at WR. Makes me think they aren't spending big resources on the 5th guy.
-
I'll be honest, $12M/yr seems kind of outrageous for a guy with these numbers. I like the addition but I have no idea how he got that kind of dough.
