Yup. They picked it up a bit but it was too late. They looked like they had zero interest in making the playoffs the vast majority of that game. Disappointing effort. Oh well.

If they pass on a good OT prospect to reach for a freakin linebacker I'll puke. I wouldn't be surprised, I think Beane is ready to run it back with Brown. But hopefully he surprises us.

With this signing, I also wouldn't mind seeing us move Ed, rolling with Settle and JP at 3T, and drafting a backup 1T in the middle rounds.

Hopefully he doesn't put himself on IR diving at air again. Bring back shaq on the cheap too. Then the only hole on defense is MLB and can otherwise go all offense in the draft.

Given we brought in two new OGs and re signed Ike and Q we can probably get away with just drafting 1 OL early this year. Beane has actually set us up pretty nicely for the draft. But replacing Brown and getting a new #2 WR our still must dos. So I'm still holding judgement. But he's got us set up to get it done. Draft RT WR LB and DT first four picks. Also have options like d hop obj and bobby Wagner.

So we are set on the interior with Bates and McGovern as starters and Ike and this guy as depth. Replacing Brown is a must. Not a luxury.

I really hope this isn't a sign of faith in Brown as a starter. Ideally he would be the one to fill the role of primary back/swing tackle and we would find a starter that isn't a complete turnstile. But if Q comes cheap then it wouldn't be bad to have both him and Brown as backups and this would be a nice signing/depth. Hopefully they still bring in someone that can at least compete and push for the starting job.

Diggs - Great #1 WR Shakir/Harty - Good slot duo Davis - Great #3 WR/deep threat Sherfield - Good depth/special team player What's missing? A true #2 WR. Come on Beane, we still need that high draft pick WR! And then we've got a really really good group.

I like it because he's basically a better Kumerow and good #6 guy. We have nice depth now which we didn't have at all last year. But I am getting the feeling that we aren't going to be adding a true #2 WR. And I don't like that.
