I kind of liked his “aw shucks” comment. I mean does every guy have to be a boring talking head? I like his personality from what I’ve seen but thats probably just me. Mayock complimented him on his natural throwing. What is he supposed to say? Thanks? They would say he’s so boring like Eli. He could say “Yeah I know i have the best arm.” Then people would say hes a cocky no good rich kid. He’s a 20 year old kid who gave Mayock and quirky answer. I liked it. I think he realizes that people who have decided he’s some liberal rich kid are going to critcize him no matter what he does. I respect him for deciding to be himself rather than pretend to be something he is not.

Anyone planning on turning that Manuel jersey into a Rosen?

Mason Rudolph...Big, accurate, mobile.strong
MrEpsYtown replied to Bustersit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is nothing special. Extremely ordinary. Read his and Nate Peterman’s draft profile on NFL.com and you will see that Nate got a slightly higher pre draft grade. They are the same level of prospects and we are looking for something special, not Bryce Petty. -
Trade up in rd 1 + trade up in rd 2??
MrEpsYtown replied to Bills4life1924's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We traded down once last year and traded up twice. We came away from last year’s draft with 6 players. I expect something similar this year. I like that this fromt office goes and gets the players they have targeted. -
Mayock did say process like 5 times im his interview with Rosen...he must know something!!!!

That’s where I am at. I like him too. He’s not my favorite but I don’t think there is anyway they draft him

Can we all just come to terms with the fact that Brandon Beane is not going to draft Baker Mayfield? Then the debates can end. The dude is not going to hitch his reputation and his career on a small, unathletic quarterback who makes excuses and has trouble with the law. It just isn’t going to happen. He is going to draft Rosen, Darnold, or Allen. At least if it doesn’t work no one will blame him because he took a shot and trusted the process. Mayfield is the anti process. He’s the risky leap of faith. Not Beane’s style.

Marquis Flowers is an interesting guy from the Patriots if you want a young guy with some upside. Browns just released Jeremy Cash who could be an intersting buy as a depth guy. Both are converted safeties. I like Flowers a lot and i bet he is a guy we are in on right now. If you want older guys Lawrence Timmons and Brian Cushing could be good depth adds who could start a year if needed.

I Guess The Market Is Dry For EJ and Preston Brown

That won’t make him faster or help him cover toght ends. He’s terrible. -
I Guess The Market Is Dry For EJ and Preston Brown
MrEpsYtown replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ is a very specific scheme fit with injury issues. It’s in his best interests to come back to us and prove that this year wasn’t a fluke. Preston is slow and can’t cover. Not really coveted in today’s NFL. I could see him going somwhere like Green Bay to play inside in a 3-4. He’s a 2 down backer and he likes the Patriots so f him. -

Can we shelve the Comp pick discussion to March 19?
MrEpsYtown replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess the idea that we lost 1 and signed 5 almost takes us out of the running. We would need Gaines, Brown, Thompson, Matthews to sign significant deals elsewehere and need guys like Leon Johnson, Tate or Humber to get deals as well -
He might be working at Wal Mart

Baker at Wyoming, nobody would even know who he is honestly.

Who is the better bridge qb Tyrod or AJ McCarron?
MrEpsYtown replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bridge - Tyrod Bridge Quarterback - McCarron -
I don't like him, but this is a good fit. Good with Richie and played for Daboll in 2011, along with Charles Clay. And no comp pick. I wouldn't hate it. I'm guessing he goes to the Bucs and Ali Marpet moves back to guard. Could see the Giants too. I kind of hope this takes some suitors away from Ryan Jensen so we can swoop in.

Agreed. A guy like Richardson or Dominique Easley,

Jordy to Raiders, Crabtree cut
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love for Crabtree to go to the Niners or Rams so he could play with Sherman or Talib -
You are probably right. I saw somewhere they might try to grab the Honey Badger and they need some edge help, so I was thinking cap space for them. Appreciate the feedback.

Could be a nice gunner and catch an occasional deep ball. I think he would be a younger, cheaper, faster version of Holmes.

Here is what is going to happen in the draft
MrEpsYtown replied to maryland-bills-fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get that, but 4 out of the 5 years he wasn't looking for a back. So basically he did not take a running back until the third, the one time he actually needed one. Smaller sample than 5 out of 5 is all I'm saying. -
This is from the SI article: "He missed on a handful of deep outs—in an interview with NFL Network's Mike Mayock, he chalked up the gaffes to missing quality time with his receivers since the season ended." I don't know about you guys, but I really dislike this answer. Sounds like excuses.

Patriots have been doing it for years! Nothing ever came out. We all kind of assumed. I thought his contract was way too rich, but compared to what guys are getting now, I would not mind it.
