Who is the better bridge qb Tyrod or AJ McCarron?
MrEpsYtown replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bridge - Tyrod Bridge Quarterback - McCarron -
I don't like him, but this is a good fit. Good with Richie and played for Daboll in 2011, along with Charles Clay. And no comp pick. I wouldn't hate it. I'm guessing he goes to the Bucs and Ali Marpet moves back to guard. Could see the Giants too. I kind of hope this takes some suitors away from Ryan Jensen so we can swoop in.

Agreed. A guy like Richardson or Dominique Easley,

Jordy to Raiders, Crabtree cut
MrEpsYtown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love for Crabtree to go to the Niners or Rams so he could play with Sherman or Talib -
You are probably right. I saw somewhere they might try to grab the Honey Badger and they need some edge help, so I was thinking cap space for them. Appreciate the feedback.

Could be a nice gunner and catch an occasional deep ball. I think he would be a younger, cheaper, faster version of Holmes.

Here is what is going to happen in the draft

I get that, but 4 out of the 5 years he wasn't looking for a back. So basically he did not take a running back until the third, the one time he actually needed one. Smaller sample than 5 out of 5 is all I'm saying. -
This is from the SI article: "He missed on a handful of deep outs—in an interview with NFL Network's Mike Mayock, he chalked up the gaffes to missing quality time with his receivers since the season ended." I don't know about you guys, but I really dislike this answer. Sounds like excuses.

Patriots have been doing it for years! Nothing ever came out. We all kind of assumed. I thought his contract was way too rich, but compared to what guys are getting now, I would not mind it.
-
I know he was their heart and soul and such, but his play was not good for them. My thinking was that we could offer them a chance to get out of the contract. I think he holds more value with us than other teams because of the history. Just a thought

Klein was a McDermott guy in Carolina who filled in admirably for Keuchly he he was out. I thought he would be our first signing last year, but he signed with the Saints. He has proven to be a very poor fit for the Saints defense and got moved around all over the place and eventually to the bench. I think he has fallen out of favor in NO. After signing Demario Davis, I would think Klein would be available in a trade. The Saints would have to eat a lot of money if they cut him this year, but if they trade him, they only eat something like 2 million. It shouldn't cost much, something like a swap of picks or something. His stock is way down, but I think he has the potential to be much better for McDermott at the MIKE position. I don't love the linebackers on the open market and the Klein contract would be relatively cheap compared to some of the signings that are happening. If it doesn't work out, he can be easily cut after the 2018 season. Thoughts?

I mean they had Jamaal Charles...when he was good. So I'm not sure why Schwartz is saying this. -
Probably Kubiak. He's Elway's right hand guy and probably going to take his job back (after some rest) once Elway fires Vance Joseph. Dude is a dead man walking. I think Elway clearly hired him, so he can fire him after two years and no one would care. Kubiak needed a break.

Additions you like to see from here on out?
MrEpsYtown replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love your mock! Do not want to see Preston Brown again. -
I gotta say, I trust what Orlovsky is seeing over Cover 1. I like his work as well, but gotta go with teh guy who has played in the league and sat in film rooms with Steve Mariucci, Gary Kubiak, Peyton Manning, and Sean McVay.

I really would look into Jensen as a center. For linebacker talk to Whitehead otherwise wait for guys to be released. WR, wait for guys to get released.

7 uncatchable balls at a pro day? is this normal?
-
Somebody said they saw someone with a Bills polo talking to Mayfield on the video. I'm sure the Bills will try to keep things quiet about who they are scouting, but people can see them.

I feel a Bonner coming on

Their draft profiles and measurables are actually really close. McCarron had an amazing college career and probably has a slightly stronger arm. Other than that it is very close. I feel like McCarron is what Peterman could be after some development. So right now McCarron > Peterman.

Lost in QB buzz... No help at WR or TE

That Ryan Grant contract..woof... I consider myself a pretty smart fan and I feel like I have a lot of knowledge about players. I honestly did not know who Ryan Grant was. -
I know it is early, but today is Josh Rosen's pro day. I figured I'd start a thread so we can put info here as it comes out. Nice article from Peter King on SI: https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/03/05/nfl-combine-2018-news-josh-rosen-shaquem-griffin-mmqb-peter-king I found some of the tidbits interesting.

Why do we still not have cap numbers for Star?
MrEpsYtown replied to BrotherChazz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. It is very weird, especially because they released all of the other numbers.
