Mic'd Up: Sean McDermott vs. the Jets

Yeah that was not interesting at all. -
I've said it a few times, but my guy is Chris Conley. Tyrell Williams would be a great get, but I like Conley a bit better. I think he is ready to break out. 4.35 forty time on a big strong frame. I think he has #1 upside and I think Conley, Foster, Zay, and McKenzie make for a nice speedy group with some variety in skills. He developed under David Culley and is a process guy 100%. He's made big plays when called upon but really lie a 5th option. I think he is the perfect addition to this squad. Is he a true #1? No, but he has true #1 upside. No more primadonna "I need touches" type receivers. That is a humble group of hard workers.

I was actually excited when McDermott came in for a play. Why not see what we have? Same with Ike Boettger. Miller and Mills have proven that they are scrubs.

McDermott isn't going to throw the guy under the bus. He isn't that kind of guy. There is little to be gained by firing him right now. Wait until the offseason and try to get a guy like Dave Toub to jump ship or maybe Joe DeCamillis when the Jaguars staff gets blown up.

I'm 100% with you. I'm a high school o,line coach. I have sat in clinics with pro and colleges coaches and this is exactly the technique that is taught on zone plays. It isn't an illegal play if the guard stops blocking the guy. The guard screwed up there. People who continue to call the Dawkins play dirty need to study up on zone blocking schemes. Like you said, it is all about timing. Anderson's hit on the kicker is dirty as is guys smashing Josh Allen. If the refs let you get away with it, so be it.

Vikings Fire OC John DeFilippo

Definitely a scapegoat here, but I'd welcome him on our staff. The reason I would bring him in is that he took Carson Wentz from a guy with athletic potential, to a guy that was an MVP candidate last year before he got hurt. A hire like that could be huge for Josh Allen. -
Target the Offensive line in 2019
MrEpsYtown replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shaq Mason signed an extension with NE. I have a major issue reaching for need in the top ten of the draft. Little, Williams, are simply not BPA at that point. You cannot plug holes with top ten picks. You can trade down and draft lineman, but don't draft linemen in the top ten unless they elite left tackles like Joe Thomas. Never draft a guard or right tackle that high unless they are 100% no doubt plug and play all pro like Quentin Nelson. Williams, Little et al are simply not in that category. Our draft board has to be: Bosa The defensive tackles: Oliver, Williams, etc. Josh Allen OLB OL and WR will be huge reaches if taken that high. Fill those in free agency or via trades. -
Jets "playing to the whistle" cost Bills the game
MrEpsYtown replied to hmsmystic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The refs continue to give Josh the Cam Newton treatment, which is complete bullcrap. Because he is big he's supposed to be tough and anyone can rough him whenever. It's been a problem for years for Cam and it will be for Josh as well. -
"Exit Interview: Buffalo Bills"
MrEpsYtown replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think that he is. I don't think there is a surefire top ten offensive lineman this year. So I would avoid them...sign young veteran free agents on the line, Morse, Easton, Williams, Glowinski, Cann, Williams etc. all those names we keep talking about. The top players this year are defensive linemen. That's where the impact will be imo.
