  1. The defensive td is at best shared blame, given that they never should have been on the one to begin with, if not for the complete typical, cupcake defense this team plays
  2. No they don't. Rush D has been miserable for years
  3. You mean the same type of runs we've given up every year, routinely?
  4. The 1st int is irrelevant, both the choice to go for it, and the subsequent play call matter more than the INT. Even that, leaves the team, with a 10 point lead, and Minnesota 60 yards away, but their was never a doubt the D would crumble
  5. THIS. They can’t stop the run, because they play nickel and smaller, which would be ok most times, if they could stop the pass
  6. How often, would even the worst D give up 4th and 18? And 2 other 4th downs, and several 3rd and longs? With this defense no 3rd down has ever been safe, regardless of injuries, for years, and you know that.
  7. Crazy that you see a 17 point lead evaporate, on an 81 yard run, and several 3rd and long and 4th down conversions, and blame the offense
  8. To go up 13 I believe, just FYI
  9. Injuries might be a justified answer, if this didn’t happen year in, year out like clockwork. Good coaching can also hide injuries, our coaches are stubborn enough to amplify them
  10. Also, the cook play, is because we absolutely need to sell out to stop the run because of the scheme. You know, just like every other game the last 4 years
  11. Sure have, his whole career, where he has been bailing out bad coaching. Today, it's 27-10, and the D gets roasted. He made the inexcusable throw yes, but in a situation he never should have been in
  12. To begin, the last throw by Allen is an absolutely inexcusable play, no doubt. But it’s one play versus a host of others. Vikings converted 3 4th downs, one 3rd and 9, and got a PI call on a 2nd and 22. Yes, they got the goaline stop, but even that put the offense in a position it never should have been in. This doesn’t mean Allen is blameless. But between 13 seconds, hail Murray, the HOU wild card. A 3rd and 22 in Miami this year, and routinely getting the ball run down their throats, including last week vs NYJ. How many times before we admit that this D and it’s coaches just plain suck
  13. Just came to say this post makes no sense
  14. As a former season ticket holder, and wheelchair user, you can infer my answer I’m sure, one of the reasons I gave them up
  15. Help a brother out
  16. Offense wins in the NFL. Bengals were a bottom tier D all year. Saints and Broncos were top 5 on D. NE was 2nd
  17. Actually he did do what a man with integrity would do in that situation. Not tank, and not abandon his players
  18. He takes a lot of hits. Shorter prime. Big Ben like maybe
  19. This is harder than many on this board seem to believe. 2 things are true, McDermott is a good coach…. And McDermott is a scared coach, who point blank period doesn’t trust his players to make plays until he is left with no other option. This game should have been in Buffalo, he coached terrified on MNF, lost to Jacksonville, and got boat raced by Carson Wentz. Every game he coaches waiting for the other team to make an error, instead of letting his players make plays. It’s how we lost those games above and how we lost tonight. The inexcusable 4th and 1 punt, the run call before it, many run plays half. The entire defensive scheme, 13 seconds most of all. All of it, was in the hopes that they would make the mistake. He coaches to take the game out of his players hands. The kind of mindset that just might be, good, but never good enough
  20. He’s afraid, when it counts, he gets outcoached. Plus, his trademark is his D, enough said
  21. In the end, McDermott will always be scared, a change might actually be best, will never happen of course
  22. McDermott may never win a super bowl. Colossly heartbreaking. He will hurt the team when it matters, good, maybe never good enough
  23. Feels a lot like round 3 with NE is inevitable
