  1. Getting torched for weeks, so many 3rd and longs it’s impossible to count. And it’s not injury related because it’s the same thing every damn year. Defend him now, because they squeaked by Detroit. But when the defense ends this season in January, like every year, just stop I guess
  2. And this stuff isn't new, last year was probably the best version of this defense. 299 points allowed in 17 games. 17.5 per. But they still gave up, 41, 34, and 33 respectively. In losses to contending teams. Promptly followed by 42 in the KC loss, I don't need a defense to stop Davis Mills, but players like Mahomes
  3. Up 20 maybe... and certainly not all the time, see the blitz rate
  4. You have 2 choices, man for a shorter window, or a soft zone and a prayer that these guys can cover extended plays, this defense lacks the flexibility for any middle, which is why good offenses have torched it for years
  5. Yesterday if there was no Allen, and we were calling QB powers with Keenum, Dorsey would be crucified. Why do so many give the other coaches a pass, for not altering their defense, at all, ever
  6. The defensive td is at best shared blame, given that they never should have been on the one to begin with, if not for the complete typical, cupcake defense this team plays
  7. You mean the same type of runs we've given up every year, routinely?
  8. The 1st int is irrelevant, both the choice to go for it, and the subsequent play call matter more than the INT. Even that, leaves the team, with a 10 point lead, and Minnesota 60 yards away, but their was never a doubt the D would crumble
  9. THIS. They can’t stop the run, because they play nickel and smaller, which would be ok most times, if they could stop the pass
  10. How often, would even the worst D give up 4th and 18? And 2 other 4th downs, and several 3rd and longs? With this defense no 3rd down has ever been safe, regardless of injuries, for years, and you know that.
  11. Crazy that you see a 17 point lead evaporate, on an 81 yard run, and several 3rd and long and 4th down conversions, and blame the offense
  12. Injuries might be a justified answer, if this didn’t happen year in, year out like clockwork. Good coaching can also hide injuries, our coaches are stubborn enough to amplify them
  13. Also, the cook play, is because we absolutely need to sell out to stop the run because of the scheme. You know, just like every other game the last 4 years
  14. Sure have, his whole career, where he has been bailing out bad coaching. Today, it's 27-10, and the D gets roasted. He made the inexcusable throw yes, but in a situation he never should have been in
  15. To begin, the last throw by Allen is an absolutely inexcusable play, no doubt. But it’s one play versus a host of others. Vikings converted 3 4th downs, one 3rd and 9, and got a PI call on a 2nd and 22. Yes, they got the goaline stop, but even that put the offense in a position it never should have been in. This doesn’t mean Allen is blameless. But between 13 seconds, hail Murray, the HOU wild card. A 3rd and 22 in Miami this year, and routinely getting the ball run down their throats, including last week vs NYJ. How many times before we admit that this D and it’s coaches just plain suck
  16. As a former season ticket holder, and wheelchair user, you can infer my answer I’m sure, one of the reasons I gave them up
  17. Offense wins in the NFL. Bengals were a bottom tier D all year. Saints and Broncos were top 5 on D. NE was 2nd
  18. Actually he did do what a man with integrity would do in that situation. Not tank, and not abandon his players
  19. He takes a lot of hits. Shorter prime. Big Ben like maybe
